I was so looking forward to this wheelchair but it's ended up being an unusable danger. It tips forward when you try to go over even the slightest bump. An example is the slight line between sidewalk concrete blocks. It's also very flimsy

Light weight as promised. Just a little heavier than Moms walker. Very do able. Great color Great workmanship sturdy We like the travel bag attached..... comes with a safety belt if needed the wider seat (19") is handy. Breaks work ok will have to adjust one side after the first use. Little foot pedals on the bottom to help maneuver or use to push up the chair.

This chair is light and easy to move around even for small people. It fits in a trunk of an average car. The side bag is helpful so a lady does not need to carry a purse. It has given my mom the ability to leave the house which is wonderful.

I found the Medline Portable Basic Transport Chair very easy to setup and use. I was leery that there would be a lot of parts to assemble and make it work. So I was pleasantly surprised to find that once you pull everything out of the box there are only three parts to put together before you are ready to roll. To get started follow the instructions very carefully when you unfold the main chair assembly so that you don't pinch your fingers or hands. Then raise each of the handles on the back until they latch. Then grab one of the foot rests and slide it on the posts and swivel it until it latches. Then attach the other foot rest. Now you are ready to use your transport chair. After the person to be transported is seated you can use the seat belt to secure them if desired. Unlock the wheel locks and push away. The transport chair combines the best parts of a wheelchair and rollator. Benefits: Folds up!, weighs less than most wheelchairs. Accommodates body weights up to 300 pounds. Please don't buy this expecting to use it like a wheel chair by your self. Someone will need to push the transportee to their destination. If you have steep inclines (ramps) to go down I found it easier to walk the transport chair backwards down the ramp. That way you can proceed at a safe pace.

If you have ever tried to wrestle a large fixed wheel chair Into the trunk of a car you know how difficult it can be. The Medline Ultra –light Transport Chair has four wheels. The two in the back are approximate 8 inches diameter and the two in the front are about 6 Inches in diameter. The Transport Chair weighs about one half as much as a regular wheel chair and comes in at about 27 pounds fully assembled and ready to roll. The foot supports are easily removed and make the chair even lighter. The handles fold down and the seat scissors closed. It has rear foot operated brakes and a passenger seat belt for added security. The seat is a generous 16” wide and the back rest is 17 inches tall and 16 inches wide. Another nice feature is the slanted armrests so you can access a desk or table without issue. The chair can be patient moved by folding up the foot rests and pushing the chair forward or back by foot. It is designed to be a transport chair and have an assistant push the occupant , the occupant has no access to the rear mounted foot brakes and could only stop by dragging their feet. The seat is remarkable comfortable and the back very supportive as well. The chair rolls on a hard surface easily and has two tubes extended from the bottom of frame that allow the chair to be tipped by the assistant to help overcome a ledge or curb. It is small when folded and with the foot rests removed it fits easily into a trunk or back seat of even a compact car. All the metal tubes are coated with a durable burgundy finish. The arm rests are made of plastic and are durable and comfortable as well. Medline manufactures a broad line of wheel chairs and patient aid equipment. Replacement parts are radially available . Their transport chair is very well engineered and carefully thought out by a company with a long history of value engineered rugged patient aid equipment. I would not hesitate to totally recommend the Medline Ultra-Light Transport Chair to anyone in the market for a compact, light and comfortable transport wheel chair.
