Great drops for severely dry eyes like mine. I purchased these in April 2018, at $9.47 per 2 pack. When I went to but more in September 2018, the price had jumped to $14.97. I just won't pay that much for a generic drop, so I bought a different less expensive Equate eye drop that caused extreme dryness and cracking to the outer corners of my eyes. searching for a new drop as we speak.
I have used many brands of eye drops over the years including regular Equate brand drops. There is something wrong with these drops however -when you put then in your eye a cloudy film forms and you are temporarily half-blinded for three to five minutes. At first I thought it may be my eyes adjusting- but after three attempts at using these it is apparent these drops should not be on the market.
Unfortunately, these drops do not work for me (Lot 70502, exp. 04.2020). I purchased after using my Blink drops for Lasik as the price for a twin pack was fantastic. I have had good luck with other Equate products in the past. Once applied my vision becomes blurry for a few minutes. It also seems to irritate my eyes. I use before bed and in the morning my eyes are extremely dry. Had to switch back to Blink.
Usually, I love generic brands of items I use often. But, this purchase was a complete waste of money. Systane Ultra (the original product) is safe to use with contacts and though the Equate version did not advise against use with contacts, I had build up and blurred vision within three uses. As far as comfort, I found it ineffective as well. Spend the extra money. The quality with these two products does not match up at all.
