Good quality, great for conversation at the kitchen table, watching tv. Both my ears have very narrow canals, but I was able to get a good fit. Not so great if lots of noise from other sources ... ex. busy restaurant. I bought 2 sets so while one is charging, I can use the other. I tend to recharge after 8 hours. I'm hoping I can get a couple of years out of them.
The Equate Digital Rechargeable Hearing Amplifier is good for those who need it. My mom is using this and it really helps her. She is able to recharge them easy. They come with a case for carry. The frequency of them is 500-3,200Hz. She says they are comfortable in her ears.
This is not an expensive doctor prescribed hearing aid. This amplifier works great at amplifying all sounds. It will take a bit of getting used to for you to not notice some of the sounds. You will need to find the right volume that works best for you. If you put the volume too high, I found it has a squeal/high pitch to it. Lower the volume. What worked for me was around the middle of the volume control. I found that I needed a different setting when in different situations, such as one setting for watching tv at home alone and a different setting when outside in a busy area situation. The amplifiers get charged by using the USB dock. You can also plug the dock into the USB adapter that comes with and plug that into an electrical outlet for charging. The dock will light up with red lights when you have amplifiers in for charging. The dock turns green when charging is complete. You need to make sure to have the amplifiers in the off position for charging. A carrying case comes with as well as 10 different ear tips and a cleaning brush to help get any ear wax off. 8 hours is suggested for a full charge and the amplifiers will give you about 10 hours of continuous use when fully charged.
I was excited to get these. They do amplified the noise but if something like my fan is on it gives a weird sound. If you take them in and out I feel that the wire that is attached to the axle inner ear piece might break. You can see the wire and it's coded in a clear plastic. It just seems like it's not really secure. But as far as hearing better, you can, but the volume control is extremely hard to control. If you don't have fingernails, I feel that it will be hard for those that don't have nimble fingers.
First off these are amplified hearing devices not hearing aides for those who think this is a cure all for their needs for less than what it actually costs to own hearing aids. It amplifies all sound and does not cancel out background noise as most would assume. You must learn to dull those sounds out on your own. I would not suggest the highest or lowest setting but rather middle to avoid squelching sounds. My husband has worked in the construction field and attended loud concerts making his hearing less than what it used to be. These make him understand what I'm actually saying and has helped our communication immensely. They come with usb charging port, several pairs of ear silicone buds for best fit and the amplifying devices packed in an easy to carry case with zipper closure. Must be fully charged before using. If you need a device to amplify sound then this is the correct product to aid in hearing. Would recommend to those with minor hearing problems.
