Speck - Balance Folio Case for Apple® iPad® 10.2" (7th, 8th, & 9th Gen 2021)

The case is very well-made, protective, and fits the iPad well. But it is heavy and the clip closure is so difficult to open that I don't use it. Also the flap over the camera lens seems superfluous. I've been very happy with Speck products in the past but this case seems overthought and overdesigned. I am keeping it for use in long-distance travel, where I might want extra protection, but I bought a simple, lightweight case from a different company for everyday use.

This is a good quality iPad case for a fair price. I like that it has a slot to hold my stylus, however, it is on the spine and you cannot open and fold the front flap back because the pen hinders it. It would be much more beneficial if the pen slot was located at the open end of the case. However, I still recommend the case for those looking for quality and a nice color.

We recently upgraded to 7th gen 10.2" iPads and wanted to protect our purchases with a folding case without a keyboard. We bought two other brands and returned them. One because the hinge holding the front and back of the case was flimsy and the other because the case was too bulky to hold when folded over and was only useful as a stand. These Speck cases are an ideal solution for us because they're easy to hold in portrait mode with the case just folded over and works well as a stand in landscape mode.

I bought a case immediately after buying my IPad but I didn't like how it fits, it wasn't snug and I worried that it can actually cause damage to my device if I accidentally drop it. Speck Folio feels very sturdy and it fits my iPad perfectly. I like that it has adjustable stand and back camera cover. I share the IPad with my husband so the color Navy blue is a good color for both of us.

I recently bought a speck cover because I had previously had one for an outdated IPad & received a new IPad for Xmas which was larger than the old one. I had such good use of the old cover that I automatically sought out a new one. The colors are beautiful and I am writing this review on the new pad encased with new Speck cover. Love it!
