actually lost 13 lbs in a week
You know you're going to be losing weight when you realize the meals for the next 5 days fit in a box 6 x 8 x 11"
I recently gained 15 lbs which isn't much, but enough to make my clothes tight. I needed a structured "tell me what to eat" diet. I was told the food tasted awful and I'm a total foodie. I was surprised that it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. The bars and snacks are actually really tasty....meals are ok. Portions are very small and you need to supplement with fresh veggies, salads, Greek yogurt, etc. I can say today that after eating this plan for 5 days, I'm on my way to losing the 15lbs (lost five so far). I recommend this through Walmart since you'll definitely save money. Follow it to a t if you can and don't cheat...it'll be worth it in the end!
I bought this and the kit containing all frozen foods. I suppose it's all a matter of personal taste, but I found the frozen food kit much better. In the first place, the food selections were larger and more filling. The food in this kit left me hungry, even though I supplemented with salads, egg whites and vegetables. Three of the lunches are soup. I don't even think you get a full cup. It's more like 6 ounces. (You can eat a full can of Progresso Light soup for the same amount of calories.) Compare that to the small hamburger or grilled chicken sandwich in the other kit. The burger was small, but it was good and, along with a salad, filled me up. Secondly, the meals in the other kit were tastier. I couldn't even try the BBQ chicken in a pouch. I just tossed it. I tried to eat the mac and cheese, but couldn't get passed the smell. I will not be ordering this again.
This 5 day kit is a really great starting on the path to loosing weight. If done correctly there is no way that you shouldn't loose weight unless of course you are eating less and better than what is in the box. But if your looking to purchase it that is probably not the case. The reason I say there is no way you shouldn't is because of the plan it sets up. Not only are you not eating out any more, but your servings are probably smaller, it is a lot of veggies, fiber and protein. So if you are eating out all of the time, even just cutting that out you should be down weight. I am someone who likes guidance and this kit really gives you that. You receive a booklet for the five days of meals. You will include your own veggie/salad side with your lunch and dinner and purchase your own in between snacks. It does give you what you should buy. I ended up doing yogurt most of the snack days and chose my own veggies that they indicated in the back. You of course have to do your own stuff out side of the box as well. Like not drinking sugary drinks or large coffees with cream and sugar. I drank water and tea. My fiance and I would always eat out every weekend, so I didn't do that. On Sunday to visit my family we usually would always eat out but I packed my veggies and my planned meal with and ate when I got to the house. We also had a dinner planned with family and I was worried to go to the restaurant so I ate my meal before hand but did not eat the veggies and ordered a house salad when I arrived. So there are ways to include healthy eating into your life and this kit totally helps with that. To my surprise the food was actually very good. Way better than what I thought. I went in thinking it was going to be really bad tasting. But a lot of it I would have gotten seconds. This was my first 5 day kit and so far I am down 3lbs, I will say I was hungry especially a few hours after dinner. But your body should get use to eating smaller portions. You aren't starving yourself the portions should be enough but our bodies are so use to eating something larger and unhealthy that it wants you to eat that large fry but if you stick with it after time a large cup of broccoli will do the trick and fill you right up and you will feel great after.
