JA Cosmetics ELF Lip Balm, 0.07 oz

Bought this in "Rose" and it reminds me of a "say yes to" lip tint I bought years ago, except that it's so much more moisturizing and smooth. The tint is exactly what I expected, it has a minty feel when I apply it, and my lips feel so soft (almost velvety) even in the cold winter temps. I keep this in my purse at all times.

I got this in Pink with the Desk to Dinner kit and it's really silky, moisturizing, and the pink really pops. I'm just not the biggest fan of the color, I'll definitely try it in clear or maybe the darker colors. The packaging is nice and sleek too and the lid is secure.

I've been searching for a cruelty free lip balm and this may end up being my go to. I can see how the minty smell may be off putting to some, but i actually love it. I have the color peach, and it's surprisingly pigmented for a tinted balm. It adds a nice, even touch of color that is noticeably different from my natural lip color without being too dramatic. I think I'm going to purchase the clear one as well. I just wish it came with more product! If your lips are extremely dry or chapped, this will accentuate the dryness. However, after using it for a few days I think my lips have become more moisturized.

I'm 16 and use this product for school on a semi-regular basis. I have the pink color and it's perfect for school/daytime! The only reason it doesn't get 5 stars is because it's not a very effective lip balm. I usually use carmex or blistex about 10 min before putting this on, let it soak in, then apply the color. The pigmentation is noticeable enough to wake up your face a bit but not at all striking, which is perfect for me. definitely recommend!

I bought this in Pink and it had a lot of color, but it was very lacking in the balm department. Also, the cap did not stay on well as it does not have a click or latch to hold onto it, so it wasn't practical to carry this in my purse because the cap came off so easily.
