Maybelline Expert Tools Eyelash Curler Cushion Refills, Black

After so many negative reviews, you would think Maybelline would go back to the older model. These refills are stiff and won't stay in the curler because they don't fit! What happened? Please no more condescending replies— just fix it! Maybelline used to be great but something has happened that they don't care. Another lost customer

I've been using the Maybelline eyelash curler for many many years and the last package of refills I purchased absolutely do not stay in the curler at all! I was never thrilled with the black silicone pads but put up with them because that's all that was available, but now they immediately pop out of the curler. As other reviewers have said, the white rubber refills were great. I cannot curl my lashes at all and will have to try and find a new curler which I know will not be easy. Extremely disappointing!

I have used these refill pads in my Maybelline eyelash curler for years. I'd read reviews from people who'd had issues, but I never did . . . until last fall when I opened a new package (identical to previous packages) and the refills were noticeably thicker than the old ones. In addition, the indentations for the handle "stems" were markedly smaller. The new ones simply would not go into the slot, no matter how hard I tried. I opened another package (I had several) and went on with my day. Then it happened again this week -- with every new package I had on hand! I'm now throwing away multiple brand new packs of these, because they simply will NOT go into my curler. In the attached photo you can see the difference in the indentations between my older pad and one of the new ones.

I have used a Maybelline eyelash curler for 50 years. The last replacement rubber inserts don't even stay in the curler for one use. They pop out immediately. From the other reviews I have read, this is not a new complaint. I will have to find another brand of curler at this point. Very disappointing.

Why, why, why haven't you brought back the WHITE refills that actually work? Have been looking for them for so long, have tried to use the black ones that don't even fit your eyelash curler... and NOW on your website I see everyone has complained and begged for the ones that work for OVER A YEAR! Your answers like: “we'll pass along your request” or “ try our curling mascara” show that you do not care about your customers. The only acceptable answer is: “The white ones will be back (insert date). Hope you can wait until then before you stop buying Maybelline.” Thank you in advance for no excuses and FIXING this!
