Love this stuff! I'm really pale and use the medium shade. I exfoliate, apply with a mitt, leave it on for 3-4 hours, rinse with no soap, sleep, and shower again in the morning. I've never had issues with it being uneven, streaking, or orange. It also fades so gradually that I don't have weird patches. Lasts up to a week as advertised but obviously fades a little at a time. I've used bondi, isle of paradise etc. and this works best for me personally. With the others I always end up with dark spots on my elbows, armpits, hands, wrists, and knees, this has never happened with this product so far which has been amazing. I have yet to try layering it. One layer isn't a dramatic difference, but as a pale girly I'm not trying to be super dark out of nowhere. It's definitely worth it. A lot of these reviews are bad.. and I think it's just a skill issue. I've done the routine above several times and have had no issues. It's cheap and somehow better than the more expensive self tanners in my opinion. I recommend it to people all of the time. Don't let the poor reviews sway you, as long as you do it right, you will look great:)

Absolutely LOVE this product. Purchased for first time last year in the Light/Medium and used mainly for legs and arms. The color is subtle yet enough to keep the "pale" away. I see a lot of reviews from past years about changing the color of the product to white and how now they can't tell where it's been applied and end of with streaks. Never had that problem as I apply just like I would my regular lotion. For first week, in spring, I apply daily, then roughly 1-2 times a week through end of fall. Love the smell and the light tan that my legs have. I tried the Dark, but it looked unnatural on my complexion. I am purchasing again this year and will continue using.

I used this product for a few years a long time ago, then started using it again recently. It works very well, if it's used properly. I think some people use too much, so they turn orange. Start with a smaller amount and keep rubbing it in until its soaked in. Don't put so much on ankles, knees, elbows, etc., and wash your hands WELL afterward. I have never had problems with it, once I learned how to do it properly.
