Aveeno Nourish+ Strengthen Shampoo For Damaged Hair, 10.5 fl. oz

Aveeno Nourish + Strengthen shampoo has some things I like and some things that I wish were different. I noticed it gave a nice shine to my hair and made the grey look more silvery. Both of those things are really pleasing. The bottle says that it has an exclusive formula that is scientifically proven to nourish dry, damaged hair back to life in just three washes. It says it gently cleanses to fortify fragile hair. It targets the weakest parts of hair to help repair over 90% of damage and reduce breakage. These are all great qualities. My hair is fine and limp and the thing that I wish was different about this shampoo is that it makes my hair seem even finer. I have to use a lot of product, such as gel, to give me volume. So if you have thick hair, this is really the shampoo for you. I usually don't use conditioner, so using their Nourish + Strengthen conditioner could make a difference.

As someone who was born with dry skin and eczema, there is nothing my hair and skin liked until now. The shampoo itself feels silky and lathers up really well. As well, my hair still looks and feels great on Day 2 and Day 3, which never happens with other shampoos. Normally I would have to use a conditioner and also a leave-in conditioner in order to brush out my hair after shampooing. During my tests, I used no additional products: no wash off conditioners or leave-in conditioners. My hair had minimal tangles yet what was tangled was still easy to brush out. But would my hair still look and feel great without conditioner after blow drying? Yes, my hair still looked great and much better than any other shampoo I have ever used. Several years ago I had a biopsy done on my scalp and it never seemed to heal -- continued to itch and drive me absolutely crazy. I have honestly tried everything -- all the shampoos out there -- all the at-home remedies, and nothing seemed to work. After many shampoos with Aveeno NOURISH+STRENGTHEN shampoo, I can honestly tell you I saw and FELT the results after just one washing! I did not want to write this review until I had used this product for a few weeks. I was absolutely amazed! After washing my hair, it looks so clean, shiny and refreshed. Most of all, my hair feels like it isn't even there. The itching stopped and my biopsy bump is on the heal. I am so thrilled with this shampoo, I am going to start using it as a hand and body soap to test it further. This time of year (Winter) my dry skin is cracking. I also wanted to mention that I have a history of Asthma and my symptoms seemed to diminish after using this product (Asthma and Eczema seem to be linked). This bottle is a whooping 10.5 fl oz and goes a long way. There is a list of active ingredients; I have taken a photo of them for you to review. I believe you will be very happy after the first shampoo, so please try it! I would never go so far it my review to say, "Please try it" unless I meant it. I just want everyone to be happy and no longer itch and have to shampoo every single day like I did. Aveeno has made a Believer out of me, at least for this one shampoo.

When I first used this product I noticed it lathers a lot so a little goes a long way and that it has a pleasant aroma but like most Aveeno skincare the scent is barely there. I personally have waist length hair so I'm very picky about my hair products but I knew Aveeno makes gentler formulas for those folks with sensitive skin. The shampoo got my hair clean without leaving any funky residue, the scent was pleasant but barely there and there were no signs of damage to my hair from using it. As far as it strengthening and nourishing my hair I didn't see any changes but I already use strengthening and nourishing products so it would take awhile to see any changes. Aveeno is a trustworthy brand that a relative of mine has used for ages and if someone was looking for a shampoo and conditioner it's a brand you can trust.

Aveeno Active Naturals Nourish + Strengthen Shampoo is a very rich and high quality shampoo. I was reluctant at first because of the size of the bottle. I have very long hair, past my waist, natural blonde and fairly thick - I'm also 54 and hormonal changes are causing more tangles etc. Generally I go through huge bottles of shampoo spending a great deal of time rinsing it out. This shampoo only takes a little to get a head full of very rich soapy lather - I was quite happily surprised! The shampoo rinsed quickly and the smell was pleasant, yet not really overpowering (which I prefer). Recommend this shampoo for any hair types, but be for-warned, it takes only a little.

I have very thin fine hair so I've been trying to find a shampoo that would be beneficial for it. Think I finally found it. Not good at taking "selfies" so I can only say it really has changed the look & feel of my hair in just a few days. Nothing is going to making it look thicker but it sure does feel a lot stronger.
