e.l.f. Lip Primer and Plumper, Clear Natural 0.11 oz

Bought this a couple of weeks ago as wear matte lipsticks and have dry lips…. So the matte lipsticks settle into the lines on my lips… and don't lady as long ….also wanted to plump/enhance/have a good base that wasn't concealer Primer…. Achieves what it's supposed to so my lipstick doesn't settle into lip lines anymore and lasts longer! Plumper…… doesn't really plump… but it a great base that doesn't dry your lips out and enhances the colour of your lipstick …I like that it doesn't sting like other plumpers as my lips can can get sore…. If you want more plumping effect I think you would need a product that stings therefore swells lips… (for me that's not suitable ) Tip….. prime first leave to dry, then use plumper - make sure it's evenly spread n leave to dry, ….. then line n lipstick as usual! We have done several product to product comparisons with high end products vs ELF products. My daughter and love ELF for the quality, value and look!! Just wish all Walmarts carried the same products. We sometimes go to three different stores to find the products we use most! But ELF is worth it!!

Well I usually love love ELF items but this was a total flop. First off the plumper was broken off and I had to keep putting it back in the tube. But then it didn't plump anything. Just like Chapstick. The primer was odd tasting and didn't really do anything either.

The primer makes your lips white, and you can see this through anything else you put on your lips so this isn't ideal. The 'plumper' doesn't really plump your lips, it just makes them hurt.

As stated in the title, the primer is fantastic. It creates a great base for lipstick that both increases the wear and improves the colour. The plumper, on the other hand, I'm not so keen on. Personally, I didn't find it made any difference. It also has an overwhelming smell of cinnamon; a smell I usually like, but it was far too strong, and being placed directly under my nose, made me feel quite queasy. So if you're sensitive to smells, this might be a product you're best avoiding.
