Ziploc 00831 Food Storage Container, 1.25 Quart

These are the perfect size and shape so that they don't take up excess room in my fridge. The tops fit really tightly. I will continue to buy these in this size and shape as I need them. Another plus is that they even fit in the top rack of my dishwasher perfectly and do not flop around.

I have been using these because they fit in my lunch box perfectly and they stack great in my cupboard but I am tired of replacing them due to the corners getting holes in them after I microwave my meal. I have Red, Gold and White and all 3 seem to do this. After looking a little closer I realized the corners are almost see through the plastic is so thin, is there any way you can make them a little thicker? I do crack the lid open and only microwave for 2 minutes at a time so I know it doesn't get that hot!

Purchased the new 5-cup Ziplock square container and am very dissatisfied and will never purchase them again. I really liked the old 4-cup design and wanted to purchase a replacement, but the lids on two of these broke the first time I removed them from the freezer and tried to open them. The new containers are much too flimsy and brittle.

I have used Ziploc containers for years. However, the new design isn't constructed as well as the old ones. The containers are fine but the lids break after just one use. I have 8 containers but no lids left after two weeks of use. I have brought every older design containers that I can find. Since I can't use the older design lids on the new containers, these new containers are useless. I always purchase Ziploc containers because of their easy to stack thus keeping my cabinet originated and need.

I used to love the old containers. I use them mostly in the freezer. I make gallons of spaghetti sauce, soups, chili at a time. These stack well and I often shared them with family members. The new lids are made of a very rigid plastic. You cannot open the lid of a frozen container without the corner breaking off. I have dropped these and the cover splinters. I had no such problem with the old containers. I now have about 20 containers without lids. Why did you change something that was wonderful?
