I bought these pots and pans after years of having the cheap teflon coated pots and pans that would peel their coating into your food. I decided on these pots and pans because they seemed durable, and had good reviews. Three years later I still have the same pots and pans the coating inside is in tact, and they clean easily. The best thing of all is they still look brand new. I am an avid cooker and cook in them a lot so it is important to me that they look good and that the coating doesn't peel in the food.
I bought this set 5 years ago when my husband and I joined forces in our new home and this set is fantastic! Now the pans I use most have some discoloration but who cares?! I am kind of notorious for cooking on high heat and this set has taken a true beating with out warping even a bit. I run these through the dishwasher and have no problems with rust or anything! Perfect! I'm thinking of buying a second set just in case! I only wish they had more items to add onto this collection like bigger frying pans with lids.
I was looking for a cheap cookware set with a 6 quart dutch oven. I think that I hit the jackpot with this set! It was on clearance in my local Walmart and I paid $64 for the set, however, even at regular price, it's a really nice set. It is beautiful, well-made and has some weight to it. I only have it for a couple of weeks, but it seems to clean up easily. I am very happy with my new set!!
Started using in Dec 2011. I Hand wash, do not use everyday, and use only wooden or plastic utencils insides still scratched and outside bottom too. But they are beautiful and food does not stick.
They are super easy to wash. One thing I love about them is the rubber covers the entire handle. Some other sets have metal at the end. I bought this set to replace a Rachel Ray set that I purchased on JC Penney's website less than 2 years ago. I paid around $150 at that time. These are better. I discovered yesterday that the small saucepan has a scratch on the outside. I don't know if it's from me, or was like that when I bought it and didn't notice. I bought this set about 3 weeks ago, and haven't used them much until the last couple of days. An easy exchange at Wal-Mart though. I reccomend this set, and I find that I actually want to cook now so I can use this set. :) As somebody else pointed out this set doesn't have a large skillet. I knew that when I got this set, but now I'm considering buying one. Can't cook bacon strips in either skillet that is included unless you cut them up with scissors before cooking. Can't make home-fries either. When I got this set I had hoped that not having the larger skillet would keep me from eating bacon and fried potatos, but now I'm really craving them and have no skillet to cook them in. I could probably get away with using the biggest pot- think it's called a dutch oven without the lid.
