Stock on my 2016 Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon. I rotate all 5 tires around every oil change and I'm now at 55,000 miles. I'll be getting a new set within the next 5k miles. These tires aren't loud like some say. I'm astonished at how quite they are. I mostly ride with my Bestop Trektop NX soft top installed and I still don't notice the tire sound; just the wind. These tires are great off and on the road. When I bought my jeep I was in Arizona, so I drove on many desert trails, low mountain trails, and most all of the Jeep trails in Sedona; all on these tires. These tires pulled me up rocks, through mud, and over snow covered mountain trails with ease. I'm now back in Florida, so rain is an almost daily occurrence and these tires channel water very well on the highways. My jeep is also my daily driver, so I'm on these tires daily. I pull a boat with my jeep on these tires (3700 pounds; boat and trailer). Stopping isn't an issue. One last thing to add: this tire is extremely tough and puncture resistance compared to other tires I've had. I can't remember a set if tires I've had in the past that didn't require me to plug at some point. I've not had to plug any of my mud-terrains in the 55k miles I've owned them. I'm very happy with my set of BF Goodrich Mud-Terrains and I'll be getting another set very soon.
These tires came standard on my 2015 Jeep Wrangler. After only a few thousand miles these tires were cupping so bad you would have thought they had 30 thousand miles on them. Having a soft top Jeep, these tires sound like a WWII airplane flying above you. The picture attached is after 34,000 miles and they are not covered under warranty.
I have 50k on my original set. They will start to cup if you do not rotate them religiously and keep the pressures up. I actually run 2 psi more per tire than the recommendation on the Jeep door panel. I rotate them every 3000-6000 miles. Normally every time I do an oil change. I have rotated all 5 tires in and expect to get 60-65k out of the set without getting them too bald. I've had these in Northern AK in -45* weather and 110+* in AZ and they've worked fine. So happy with the set I bought a used set for when these wear out to get me through 100k. Hopefully by then there will be deals on KM3's for my third set.
I was surprised reading another review by a Jeep owner and them having issues with these tires. Still on my original set of these tires and I'm up to 120,000 miles on them with no issues. Since the tread is getting low, I'll be replacing them during the summer to get ready for winter and will replace with the same tire. Kept them rotated, balanced and inflated with nitrogen and they seem to be fine through many road miles and many PA potholes!
These came stock on my 2015 Rubicon. I am still running on the stock tires and now have 61k on them. I have put these tires through the paces in snow, gravel, rock, mud and sand and they perform really well. Mostly I drive on pavement so I will get considerably more miles out of mine than someone who mainly drives more off road or on gravel. Here are some tips for long treadwear on high void or mud tires with large tread blocks. 1) Air Pressure. Make sure to keep all your tires properly inflated as this will cause your tires to prematurely wear out and cause chopping or high and low spots on the tires. 2) Rotation. I know most manufactures recommend rotating every 5-6k but with off road tires you should do this every 3-4k. Doing this more frequently will help the tires run smooth and help prevent cupping and heel toe wear on the tread blocks . 3) Alignment. Make sure to have your vehicle alignment checked per your vehicles maintenance recommendations. If you don't keep up on these, your tires will start getting irregular wear patterns. Once this starts, short of shaving your tires, it is very difficult to make this stop and not get worse. You will notice increased road noise and vibration. All tires have a manufacture's warranty on them. Here is a short rundown of what most cover. Workmanship and materials. This will cover defects in the tire and casing only that would be due to a defect in the manufacturing process and will not cover any road hazards or most wear conditions. Here is whats usually not covered -Road Hazzard Here are a few examples of road hazard conditions. -puncture. nail, cut, curbing, impact causing an internal break in the liner that would cause a bubble on the outside(tire dealer would need to perform an internal inspection of this. - Improper wear due to lack of maintenance. Low air pressure, lack of rotation, alignment. -Rock or gravel chipping. -Theft, fire, vandalism. Since these these are off road tires, there is most likely no tread life warranty. You will also notice that most if not all manufactures have changed the language from tread life warranty to tread life expectancy. This means that if you follow all to the recommended care guidelines and under normal conditions, you SHOULD be able to get "x" amount of miles from your tires but this is not guaranteed. This is only a brief rundown. Please consult the tire warranty for whatever brand of tire that you have. Also note that the new or used car sales person usually does not have an extended knowledge of tires other than they look cool and will not give you a complete rundown on them. Please consult a tire dealer that carries the brand you have installed on your vehicle for more info. If you have a Jeep with BfGoodrich tires, Find a Michelin or BFG dealer to help you answer any questions you might have. When choosing a vehicle, make sure you take into consideration of what the replacement cost will be on the tires. Most people don't think of this until it's time to replace the tires and get sticker shock. Tires are a "wear" item. They will require maintenance and wont last forever. Anyway, I hope this helps when making a decision on buying tires.
