Patricia Matelasse Bedspread, Sage

Based on reviews it was pretty much as expected - a lightweight, attractive spread. It did snag on the underside when it was washed and dried by itself on low temps, but I was able to cut the long threads of the snags and pull out the puckers. It looks fine on the bed in my guest room. Given the low price, I felt it was a good value, but I would not recommend it for rough use by children or frequent washings.

I have been looking for a bedspread to replace a comforter and sham for our king size bed. This is nice and lightweight and plenty big for the king size bed. I love it and what a bargain for $22.00!! I have already washed it and hung it on the line to dry...came out perfect.

I love this bedspread. It is the perfect summer weight and looks wonderful on the bed with the shams (which I also bought). The color is true to the picture online. My mom bought one in blue and really likes it, too. I haven't washed it yet, but am hoping that since it is polyester that it won't shrink or lose it's shape. But, so far so good!

My king bed is a normal height but the king spread didn't reach the floor. It's too small, by a lot. I'm actually going to keep it though because I've discovered it works as a coverlet. I put the beige spread(which is lighter than the online picture, it's even lighter than the color on the package) over a brown bed skirt that I had and used my brown pillow shams. It looks totally different than I had wanted but we like it. We wanted a thin spread for the summer, that's just what we got. When you walk in the room, it WOWs you. Pretty good for 30 bucks. It washed up well, I'll probably have the darn thing for years.

The only negative is that on line the color appeared to be more turquoise and not quite so much green. When I got it I was disappointed in the color and almost returned the spread. But I'm used to the color (sage) now and like it. The spread and shams were a good buy and I'm pleased.
