Beatrice 5-drawer Chest - Cherry

I was already aware of other reviews before buying this item. We wanted something inexpensive and I was not expecting a piece of high end furniture. This was what I expected, an average chest of drawers. It will do for what we need but don't expect a lot. My husband had no problems putting it together however one minor issue of a screw being too long did crack the side panel but was replaced by the company.

1st of all the directions to put the chest of drawers together were horrible. 2nd - it may hold a few baby clothes, but the drawer roller guides are only held in by very short screws and the drawers only come out 1/2 way. After putting it together, we took it back to Walmart. They were good about returning it. So in the end, all we were out was an afternoon of time and the gas to and from Walmart!

I purchased this in neutral for our nursery. It does not exactly match the neutral color of the Tuscany crib that we ordered, but it's close enough. The instruction manual is visual instructions, but still easy enough to follow and assemble. Seems to be of good quality.

After reading the reviews, I still thought I would give it a try because the price was right. The first piece I pulled out of the box had a globby laquer on the bottom of it. It looked like it didn't get stained properly. So, I stuffed it back into the box and we drove it back to the store. Believe the other reviews that say this is a cheap product. If you are just looking for something temporary, then this might be the right choice for you.

It does take some time to set it up. If you are in no way handy I would suggest this would be difficult for you. As far as quality, no way I would complain for the price it is. It is sturdy and I like the way it looks. The only thing I found disappointing is the drawers don't come out as far as I would like.
