Chemical Guys SPI21516 DeCon Pro Iron Remover & Wheel Cleaner – 16 oz.

I used this on a friend's brake dust-laden, silver painted wheel son his car that now had the appearance of being black. And this product removed ALL of the brake dust contamination, and left the wheels brite and shiny silver once again. New life for the wheels! Definintely going to be a regular use item for me.

This product kind of let me down. I didn't see much chemical reaction on wheels when i tried. The wheels were incredibly saturated in dust and metal debris and saw very little reaction. Maybe wasn't as dirty as i thought, i don't know. However, it did seem to help in the overall cleaning process.

I used this product on a white vehicle covered In iron deposits. I never really got a reaction where the product turned purple. I also used a synthetic clay bar and still didn't get all the deposits off. Adams Iron remover worked better on the same vehicle on a previous detail.

I really liked this wheel cleaner, but it seemed like the sprayer might be putting it on heavy - it seemed like a third of the bottle was gone after 2 uses, and I didn't think I was using that much. I came back to use it 2 weeks later and the bottle was bone dry. I'm the only one who was using it. So basically, I got 2 uses out if the whole bottle before it disappeared. I'd get more, but I'm not paying that much for something that just vanishes in 2 months.

I got good results from the iron remover. It changes colors to identify the mineral deposits that were on the paint. That showed me it was actually working & a necessary step of preparing my paint for a coating. To nitpick a bit, It might be nice to have it a bit thicker to slow the runoff along the sides & back of the car.
