Blinds we not what I expected. Description lead me to believe they were faux wood but they are actually regular thin, cheap, plastic blind material with attempted grain stamp. I kept them anyway because I didn't want to wait for return and reorder. They are ok for price but not what I was expecting, so disappointed.

If your looking for black out shades, these aren't for you. They do block out some more light then my previous thin blinds though. Overall for the price, they are a good deal. They look good enough for the price. If you want true black out shades it will cost you a lot more money. See pictures.

Mounting hardware is just two metal brackets, which are difficult to remove from blinds where they are stored while shipping. Brackets are difficult to align perfectly to get the blinds set properly...I have 4 of the 6 sets of blinds improperly mounted, but working enough to where I (hope) they won't fall out of the window sill. The blinds "click" into one side, but don't click safely into the other bracket. Looks somewhat crooked, but I got tired of trying to do it over & over, drilling all these holes to re-mount the pathetic brackets. Blinds were "wood pattern" but NOT faux-wood. The thick material used to have the wood appearance is not used; it is simply 2" wide plastic pieces just like the normal generic mini-blinds for sale at the store. Maybe I didn't read the description properly, but I thought I was getting the thick faux-wood blinds. The rod in the blinds is plastic, I'm not sure if that's durable or not- even the cheapest plastic mini blinds at WalMart come with a metal rod for the operating mechanism... The blinds look good really because they are replacing yellowed, dingy and broken blinds. Otherwise I'd be more upset. I am pretty irate for the fact that I could have spent a few extra dollars and bought the actual faux-wood blinds; just thought I was saving some cash buying these. Would not buy from this company again.

Very sturdy and great appearance. I was disappointed because three of my windows are unusual sizes and I couldn't get the right size. I took a chance and ordered enough for my house, knowing that three would be too long. My dad is extremely handy. He took the blade off his saw and put it on backwards so it wouldn't splinter the blind. Then used a few c clamps to hold it tight when he cut it on the table mounted circle saw. He was able to trim off 3/4 inch the ends we popped out and put back into the ends of the trimmed one. Custom sizing at a very cheap price, what more can you want?

When we moved into our home the previous owner had worked some 2nd and 3rd shift jobs, and so all throughout the house they had the blackout roll up shades. My wife couldn't stand them and so I agreed to install all new ones, and after looking around these were the most affordable ones we could find that still looked nice. We received them in like 3 days from the order date (with regular shipping), and they were a breeze to install. I can't say enough for the difference they make in how nice all the rooms look in which they were installed. It was a significant improvement in the look of our home for very little investment, and they definitley look like they cost at least twice as much as they did. I definitely highly recommend them to anyone looking to make an upgrade on a budget. P.S. - The only thing I will warn about is if your trim paint is off white these are bright clean white, so just be aware it may not match if your trim isn't a true white color.
