I read all the reveiws, and saw where someone used this on their lawn tractor with great success. I'm like: COOL! This would be great...so I bought this for my dad's Husquvarna 23HP lawn tractor thinking he could switch between trailers without hassle. In theory, it's great. In reality, not so much. 1) The mounting bolt was a hairs-width too wide to fit through the mounting hole of the tractor. No biggie, $1 at the local hardware store bought a smaller bolt and a couple lock washers to hold it. 2) My dad is a big old boy...there's not much that he puts a wrench to that moves once he torques it. This hitch did, wig-wagging left to right as he pulled the trailers. Not ideal, to say the least. 3) We're talking 2 small trailers here: a 2-wheeled cart from Walmart with removable tailgate for dumping, and a 350 lb steel mesh trailer with ramp-tailgate for taking the mower to the repair shop on. 3 trees-worth of trimmings (limbs smaller than my thumb in diameter) caused the hitch to sag so low that the thing drug the ground, nearly burying the trailer tongue in the dirt! It came off the mower in a hurry and went back to the store for refund. Maybe it would do better on an ATV (although the mounting bracket on the back of the ATV in the pic looks EXACTLY like the one on the back of dad's tractor) but if you're planning to use this with a garden tractor, make sure you keep the box and receipt handy, because you'll probably be returning it too.

It does the job, haven't had a problem with it. Cost less than 30 bucks and picked it up right in the store.
