Sauder Palladia Traditional Nightstand, Select Cherry Finish

This nightstand was a little complicated to put together, but not bad. The drawer works well and stops, as it should, when fully pulled out. It looks good next to the bed. I put a protective mat on the top since it is wood composite.

The finish on these nightstands is good. Building them was fairly easy, maybe an hour each. Once assembled, they seem sturdy and look great. Would definitely recommend.

This has to be one of THE BEST engineered furniture pieces I've ever purchased. Assembly is not quick. The first nightstand took nearly four(4) hours and I am very mechanically gifted. The second one went together in just over two(2) hours. But the assembled piece is extremely rugged and about as good as it gets for a shipped piece. As the instructions state, power driver is of no help. Use a good quality phillips screwdriver and hammer. That's all that's required. Take your time because the furniture is worth it!!! Finish is excellent. I did touch up some of the corner edges with a black permanent marker to eliminate a couple tiny light lines. The only shortcoming I found is the bottom edges are completely unfinished OSB/particle board, so they will soak up anything spilled under them like a sponge and that will damage the furniture. I highly recommend using thin superglue or similar sealant on the bottom edges to seal and harden the surfaces. If you are placing the nightstand on a smooth surface you will need to add some small rubber/plastic furniture pads to avoid scratching or gouging your floor surface. Definitely seal all the bottom edges if you are placing the nightstand on carpet. It's well worth the time. 3-Stars - Ease of assembly, but the instructions are real English and excellent detail. 4-Stars - Value and quality of the assembled piece. 5-Stars - Packaging, you could not ask for better packaging. Finally, a Made In USA product with excellent design, quality and value!!!

This complete bedroom set too expensive for the wood its made out of. The best way to put these pieces together is to have them ship to store and assemble there.

I was a little disappointed that the design wasn't a better match to the collection. The vertical rails should've been of rounded stock instead of flat. The drawer could've been built more durable.
