I have had this phone since February 2013. Don't expect this thing to hold up to average wear and tear. Its performance was OK at first, but after 9-10 months of use it's really fallen off noticeably. More so than any other phone I've ever owned. It is extremely slow. It takes forever to load up the camera (or anything else for that matter). When I'm trying to add someone's contact into my phone, I always have to say "sorry, my phone is really slow" because there's always an awkward 10-20 second pause while we wait for the contacts app to load up. Attempting to cruise Instagram or Facebook is always a dicey experience. It's not uncommon for the phone to freeze, requiring a reboot. The 'flash' on the camera is terrible. Every photo I've ever used it for has been a bleached out mess. Performance is below average at best. It takes forever to respond to the simplest of tasks. Extremely frustrating. Avoid.

I really debated about buying this phone, mainly based on the kind of negative reviews I read. Since the other phone I was considering was almost $200 more expensive, I bit the bullet and bought the Galaxy Exhibit. Let me tell you, I was very, very pleased with what I got. I have not seen any of the flaws that others have described in their reviews, and in fact, I have been very impressed with the processor speed. My last smartphone was a 3G LG running at 800MHz, and I thought that was fast. This 4G phone running at 1GHz (1000MHz or 25% faster) is much, much faster than I imagined. Applications I used before load much more quickly. The camera is 3MP, not the 5 or 8MP you can get on more expensive phones, but really, do you need an 8MP camera on a cell phone? You might as well buy a 10+MP standalone camera if you do. So, no problems. Don't listen to the bad reviews. I suspect they're loading up the memory or otherwise misusing their phones. Great phone at a great price.

I agree with all other user's good talk about this phone. I really love this phone. Here is some thought that I wish Samsung's staff can see: 1. Need a LED indicator on face for missing call, SMS, emails, low battery, etc. Now I have to turn on the screen to check. I have missed a few important SMS due to no indicator. 2. There is a noticeable hissing noise when using a earbud. You can hear the hissing noise by turning down the volume to zero while playing a song. Or the beginning half second after turning on the Music player 3. Slow reaction when pressing the power button. When I want to check the time, I need to wait about 1 second or more. 4. Buttons are too close to the bottom to press now. It is uncomfortable for one hand operation. The screen and buttons should be shifted up like other phones. 5. Internal memory should be named something else instead of "sdcard". It not only confuses users also some program like "CoPilot Live". Downloaded maps can only go to internal memory. The problem is: US maps file size is about 2GB. It won't fit in the internal memory. CoPilot can only download the maps to "sdcard", but can't download to "external_sdcard".

Size is just right, large screen but not a heavy or bulky phone. Got the phone for the front facing camera feature which works very well, am able to see my granddaughter while talking to her, picture and sound are very clear. Have no experience with android whatsoever but am able to easily navigate my way thru the menus, apps with no problems at all. A fun to use phone with umpteen features
