Ozark Trail Kids' Teepee

I found this tent with adult camping tents. The package said that it can be used for outdoor camping. I was hoping to find a small personal tent for my son to use this summer for camping in the woods. Thankfully, I set the tent up at home. I noticed that the side of the teepee the image doesn't show is the side with the door flaps. They have three small Velcro tabs as closure. When closed, the flaps have large gaps where the Velcro doesn't reach and they lack about two inches or so when pulled tight before reaching the floor. This means that bugs and water are given easy access to the tent floor. The floor itself is made of the same super thin fabric as the walls, which will not hold up on the forest floor. That said, I am considering keeping the tent for indoor play. It has enough room to accommodate my 5 year old son and his friend for fun "camp out" sleep overs and to be used as a cozy and private area in which to play. The downside of this use is that it is fairly big and does take up almost all of the floor area of his room.

This is cute but not very easy to put together & takes up ALOT of floor space. I would only get this if you have a huge play room to keep it up or, plan on using it outside for awhile because it's that difficult to put up. Once up the quality is not that great but fine for the money.

It was a little confusing to put together, and one thing I don't like is that the poles aren't totally hidden and they can come a little loose from the compartment easily on the top, but it's adorable and my daughter totally loves it. It's super large so it takes up huge space in her room, so we have it full of all of her stuffed animals, blankets and pillows, and she likes to sleep in it all the time. Pretty sturdy overall, and a great purchase!

I picked up my order and when I got home it was just a cheap tent with a sleeping bag. I kept it because I didn't want to go back to walmart again and explain that this wasn't what was pictured.

I bought this in the owl print for my 3 year old daughters birthday. We had her and her sister go in another room, we set it up and filled it with gifts, it was a huge hit!! It is very large and it is not one of those pop up tents that you can put up and take down easily, this one had poles and is a bit more complicated. Make sure that you have the space to keep it put up in your house before you buy. I happen to have the space and my girls ages 3 and 5 absolutely love it, they have played in it for hours, they can both stand and lay down in it easily, with plenty of play space. My only complaint is minor, I wish the front flap was easier to close from the inside. The pictures only show the side hole opening but one side is actually open like a true teepee, you can pull it back and tie it or you can have it shut, but the velcro and the tauntness of the fabric make it a bit hard.
