Melissa & Doug Deluxe Folding Medieval Wooden Castle - Hinged for Compact Storage

Received this as gift from grandparents. My 3y old likes it. Fun idea for creative play, but there are build quality issues Had similar problem where main wall broke off at the base within first day of normal play. I was expecting this wood toy to be much more sturdy.

My daughter's birthday was 2 months ago and she was given the medieval folding castle from her cousins. While it has been played with and is in decent shape, one of the pieces has broken off and is now no where to be found. My daughter LOVES the castle, but I'm concerned that the edges where the piece broke off could cut her or give slivers, so unfortunately we've had to take it away from her. I tried emailing Melissa and Doug for a remedy for this issue and didn't hear back from them. :/ Would love to give a 5 star rating as this otherwise seems very solid and sturdy, but only giving 3 as it did break and I didn't get a response.

My four year old received this as a birthday gift two weeks ago. Ever since, the castle has been the most played with toy everyday. It has not been moved from the play room in the time, however, the joints have come apart. My kid refers to it as a broken castle now, and she is very gentle with all her toys. I really liked it, but 2 weeks is a very short time for this castle to fall apart. Could you advise as to how this can be fixed?

my son loves this that's why I gave it 2 stars, with that being said it's poorly put together I got this for my 5 year old for Christmas since then about 5 wood pieces have broken off. the entire thing is just held together with small lines of wood glue. just with light play it comes apart. for the price of this product I expected much high quality! I'm glad. my son loves it but it's really a shame that it's so poorly constructed. would NOT recommend this toy.

Castle looks solid but beware… It is very heavy but only GLUED to base. would be much more sturdy if they used SCREWS. Ours fell apart and they refused to repair it or suggest which glue to use. I would not recommend this item unless you are willing to reattach the castle to the base yourself. Also the knob to raise a lower the drawbridge is clumsy and difficult to turn.
