Walmart had an excellent price on this prepaid plan and phone online. However, it could not be activated even with the help of a very nice tech at Verizon. I had to do an exchange at the store. The store was selling them for $7 more than online, but they did an exchange with no problem. For the $7 saving (the package was only $14 online), you can save yourself some angst by buying at the store. Apparently a scan by a Walmart register is required to activate the phone and the ones you buy online may have been returns previously activated and Verizon can't correct that. Verizon does not necessarily have the best prepaid plan but you have to get the coverage you need. Walmart's store price is less than Verizon online.
I'd recently lost my LG VX-8350, a phone with a few additional features compared to this model, and decided to get a cheap replacement. The only thing I miss about the LG 5600 is the lack of MicroSD card support, otherwise it's a fine substitute for my old phone.
I got this for my father and he loves it. Besides being verizon, the reception was great everywhere!
This is a good phone. Simple; with large button display. Great price and good call quality.
Excellent battery life!
