I asked my pediatrician if we could switch to the generic form because the brand-name is so expensive. She said there didn't seem to be a difference but some babies do react to it. Well the formula looks nothing like the brand-name, it doesn't thicken like the brand-name. My son started spitting it up just as much as before and it also has a terrible smell. Also, after a few days on it my son started to have constipation problems again and I'm not even going to finish the tub. I'm going to go back to the brand-name it's just not worth it.

It's value priced and well tolerated by my child. The only drawback is that it doesn't dissolve well and extra shaking is very important to get rid of the clumps. So, be aware that the clumps can be a problem. It did help my baby to stop spitting up, which is a major plus. Doctors recommend formula with rice starch over adding rice cereal to the existing formula because it is easier to digest and won't increase colic that some infants suffer.

I had to buy this formula after experiencing several spit ups a day from my son, after weeks on end. After trying out this formula, I can say that his spit ups are now non-existant, but I always have a problem mixing it up. The formula is thick in texture, gritty, and even after shaking it several times, I still find dry powder left in the bottle. Thus, I have to stir the rest by spoon. But overall, it is a great formula, and I'm glad my son no longer experiences spit ups like he had been. Will probably switch back to his old formula soon, as this one (for the size) is rather pricey.

I bought a case of this formula online because you can't buy it in the Walmart stores. We had been giving our twins the similac version and it was great. Well, this stuff is not comparable AT ALL!!!!! Ypu will shake the bottle for two minutes straight and the clips will not disolve. Ever!!! Also, it's so thick, even a stage three nipple doesn't let much formula pass through. We have used the parents choice premium for years and loved it! We never had s problem with it. But this stuff is horrid. Trust me, don't waste your time or money on this stuff!
