RCA Cambio 10.1" 2-in-1 Quad-Core Windows 10 Tablet

Decided to take some college classes and bought this because I just don't want the weight of carrying, nor the wear and tear, on my laptop. At 98.00 when I bought it, I think it was a steal. When it updates windows to true 10, expect some issues, mostly that it goes from booting up in the desktop, to booting up in tablet mode, so at first I thought nothing was working! It's easy enough to fix, just have to go back into settings and change the settings, but you have to un-dock it then re-dock it if you want to use the keyboard and mouse, until you change things in setup. I also intensely dislike the app setup in Win 10, but just deleted all of them from the desktop and set it back up so it really works much like Win 8. I keep everything I need on the taskbar. I keep it running pretty bare bones, just MS Office, Google (which brought over my laptop setup bookmarks, home setup etc when I signed in). All in all, it's great, lightweight, does all I need to do. Well worth the money.

This is a very nice alternative to transporting a full size laptop. Features I love about this: * Portability * Speed * Battery life * Usability * Compatibility with PC's * Portability: - I love traveling with this because it's small enough to take anywhere that I go. I can place it in my backpack, luggage or even in my briefcase without any problems at all! * Speed - As far as speed is concerned. it's NOT going to let you play WOW or LOL. But, If you are looking for something that runs like it's on nitrous-oxide. Buy yourself a gaming laptop, put 32gb of ram, a SSD, and 2-4gb graphics card upgrade into that laptop! Although, all of that will cost you upwards of $2,000. At least then, you will have the speed and graphics that you want! The down side of doing that, is your laptop will not by portable anymore. Nor is it a travel companion, simply due to its size and weight! But, If you need something for high school/college, I think this will be more than compatible. because, nowadays students turn their work in on USB drives! Not the old way (Pen/Paper!). Hmmm... I guess, I am old! :;-( * Battery: - Battery life is great on this little guy. it gives me the time I need to accomplish what I need to do or to just do some shopping online. (I believe in the product description it states a 6-hour battery life. But, Honestly, it's more like 2-3 hours of moderate to heavy use). But, that is still plenty of time to do most projects. If not, Plug it in! its not that difficult to figure out!!! * Usability: - Now, I've read some of the negative reviews about this little guy. I have come to the conclusion that, people seem to be thinking they are buying a full sized laptop! I'm sorry! But, If you want a laptop, GO BUY A LAPTOP! This is not designed "to do all of the things" you can do on a full sized computer! This is essentially meant to be a tablet. but, they gave you a keyboard just to make it easier for typing and over all ease of use! * Compatibility: - I use an external hard drive or USB drive with this tablet to transfer files to my full-sized laptop when I need to save some personal files. this leaves the hard drive on the tablet with the free space it needs for its updates and necessary files to function. this item is great for streaming Netflix or Hulu plus etc. *** My personal observations about this little guy, You will need a mouse. wireless or wired. the track pad is a bit on the small side. But a nice thing about the track pad is that there are no physical buttons! iIs all by touch! So, where the mouse buttons should be, all you need to do is tap in that area. NO more mechanical buttons to break any more. Well that's my review of the RCA Cambio 2-in-1 tablet w/keyboard. If you're looking for a windows tablet, but aren't willing to spend very high prices for the Surface tablets, then the RCA cambio is for you. It has a usb port and mini-usb port on the left side, along with mini-HDMI, headphone jack, windows button, and the power button. The touch pad is great, though a bit too sensitive sometimes. Same with the trackpad. I usually use my wireless mouse. Despite saying up to 64gb, you can put a 128gb microSD card in this. I have a 8gb card in it for right now. On the back there is volume keys. Very handy especially when separated from the keyboard dock. There's also a reset button too, just in case things go wrong. To turn it on requires holding down the power button for about 4 seconds. You can also hold it down while on, and it'll bring up a screen asking you to shut it down. I like that! The only cons I have is the battery life sometimes depending on how much power you use unplugged, and it takes longer than I thought to charge it up. The RCA Cambio is a perfect "first computer" for a child or anyone who's never owned a computer before. At $119 this is a steal, even more so when it's $99 sometimes. Easily the best windows tablet out there. Unless RCA comes out with a better more updated version soon. I hope so. By the way, I have the blue model. It comes in blue, black, or even pink.

I bought 3 of these for my kids. One the keyboard did not work. Another did not have the drivers installed so it could connect to the internet. All in all I swapped the pieces around and ended up with 2 working. So no I would not recommend..

I would have given 5 stars if the bluetooth feature allowed for actual sync from this RCA 2 in 1 to my smartphone and Desktop. You must add files to an external hardrive first and then load to the 2 in 1 tablet.
