I used this lock to replace the old lock on my shed.

This lock is a heavy duty one. We use it for our camper hitch and to lock up our Kayak's when we go camping. So far we have had no problem with it and plan on getting another one so we don't have to keep switching back and forth. We have use other brand locks and have found this to the the more dependable one for sure. No rust either and the key goes in and out freely. I highly recommend it.

This is pretty standard as far as padlocks go. As a small aesthetic note, I like the design; the black and gray/white Marled pattern makes it look more industrial and interesting. It says the item has a coating on it to guarantee against rust, which is nice since I use mine on the fence gate outside. The lock is also made of hardened steel, which protects against sawing or cutting; and there's a 4-pin cylinder to help prevent picking. I use mine on the inside of the fence, but all of those features should make this a great option for locking something like a shed or something where people would still have access to the lock.

The master lock padlock came with two keys one for me and one for my wife. The lock was easy to use our kids where able to put it on the outdoor toy box and take it off when they needed something out and out it back in again without help from parents. That could either be a good thing or bad For us good because we have toys we don't want anyone using without permission. I would recommend this lock for its ease of use. We even used the lock on the camping trailer this weekend so it's tough as well. Whatever you may need a lock on these are wonderful.

Ok so I was excited to get this and really love the look and finish on it. I was impressed with the finish on it until I tried to lock it. It's very hard to describe but I guess if I had to it would be like chain link truck bed finish. It appears rugged and durable. I got this to replace my weather lock on my shed which is a Master lock as well. I may decide not too however as the only issue I have with the new lock is the locking action isn't smooth. What I mean by that is on my old lock I can lock it using only one hand, it closes real smooth with no hang ups. The new lock seems to slightly go to one side like there is play in the shank part of the lock and it jams if not going straight. Maybe I'm being picky but it requires some thought on locking or the use of 2 hands to make sure the operation goes smooth. Oh there is a second thing I found interesting and disappointing which is the keys are loose in the package they couldn't even include a ring I guess to save them money. Go figure something cheap would have made me happy.
