RCA 19" Class HDTV (720p) TV/DVD Combo (19LA30RQD)

This looked like a good value. Decent reviews except for some complaints about the dvd player not working. TV picture and sound were great. I was excited. Then I tried a dvd. It did not work. Not at all. Luckily returning was quick and easy. But a hassle that should not be necessary. Where is quality control????

only had a few weeks and this tv combo is very nice dvd player works great sound is fine. the only thing is you need to have tv at head level to get the best picture. if you have it to high the picture get dark. i checked all the 19" tvs out at walmart and they all seem to have the same problem. so its not just this model i would buy this one again its was a great price. everything works great on this tv so don't pass it up if you looking for a 19"

While the picture is on it has a six inch in diameter white circle, like a ghost on the right side about middle ways. Would not recommend.

I bought this TV for a spare room and it's perfect for what I paid. It has a great picture and sound. Easy to set up and operate.

The screen is like a computer monitor. If you are stand at the wrong angle, it is difficult to see and the color fades dark. We had it sitting on top of a dresser maybe 4 feet above our bed, and it looked fine if you were sitting up. But if you slouched or laid down, the screen would become darker and darker the lower you went. It would also happen if you were standing on either side of the TV and not staring at it dead on. I tried messing with the contrast and brightness, but even with that, we still had issues watching it from certain angles, especially if it was a dark scene in a show. The sound also was not very impressive. It just sounded removed from the show - like there a single speaker attached that didn't seem to belong to a TV but to a portable CD player. It would need to be hooked up to a system - but a small TV like that wouldn't norally be hooked up to one. I read a lot of very nice reviews about this TV which is the main reason I bought it, but it just did not reach our expectations so we returned it. The picture was just too annoying to get over.
