Summer Infant Urban Style Safety Gate

If I could give this zero stars I would. This gate is horrible. I've had 2 of them to block off my living room for about 6 months and in that time both of them have come apart in one place or another. While these gates look nice the construction of them is completely horrible. Don't waste your money.

I bought this gate today and I am appalled at how horrible this thing is! It is so cheaply made. Nothing fits together the way it should. My husband and I have been trying to put it together for over an hour now and we are ready to pull our hair out. I can't believe I wasted this much money on this piece of junk! Save your money and buy a different gate.

Bought this gate for our new house, it matches the wood at the bottom of the stairs. Perfect for my eyes and the safety of my now walking baby. The instructions mention NOTHING about the gate needing to be mounted in order to actually function! I had to read a review here to get that one sorted out. I would only recommend this product to a friend if I could put it up for them... that's how bad the instructions are.

Purchased this gate recently for our stairway. During assembly my husband immediately wanted to put it back in the box and return it because the gate appeared defective. After reading reviews, I convinced him to continue and put in place. It did align and lock into place wonderfully once installed! Give this gate a chance and install it. It looks great and it works well!

I'm giving this a poor rating to hopefully get the company's attention. It is a pretty decent gate but as you can see from some of the reviews it appears to be poorly made (out of square) until you actually install it. You shouldn't have to read the reviews or call the company (like I did) to know how to install it. I took the first one back thinking I got a lemon. All they have to do is fix their instructions which overall are better than most. Unable to give a review on their website even though it said I could. This product would get much better ratings if they would fix their instructions...how easy.
