SINGER® 14HD854 Heavy Duty Serger + Accessories | 2-3-4 Thread Capability| 1300 stitches/min

Surgies really good but a little difficult to thread in the way of small spaces.

I don't wanted a heavy duty serger, but this does no sew through the fabric that I use

Very quick delivery. Was able to thread the machine easily by tying the thread to the existing thread the machine was shipped with. I am very happy with this serger.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am a first time Serger, and I am so pleased with the Singer 14HD854 model. I have to admit the hardest part is threading the thread but once you get past that with the help of the manual or online help if needed you are ready to sew! It works with 2,3 or 4 threads, 6 different stitch types and great for rolled hems, blind hems and finishing raw edges. Perfect for all fabrics and won't rip or pucker. The finish was exactly what I was looking for when working with multiple types of fabrics and gives a professional finish. I can't believe I was so intimidated for so many years as this is so much simpler than I expected and I have been able to have professional results on my projects.

I haven't been able to even try the serger out yet. Singer sent me the machine with a foot pedal/power cord that is not only old, broken and obviously used heavily, it doesn't even have the correct end to connect to the serger, it's not meant for this model at all. It seems like this should have been caught in their quality control department, if they even have one. I've read a lot of bad reviews about Singer declining in quality and customer care over the past few years but decided to order one of their products anyway because I've always had good luck with their stuff before. I guess this experience has shown that all of those negative reviews were right about them.
