7 Blade Spiralizer Plus Attachment with Peel, Core and Slice Capabilities for KitchenAid Stand Mixers - Stainless

This item was not sturdy/ strong enough to mix the mixture I was preparing. It didn't completely mix the ingredients thoroughly. At one point, I had to decrease the amount in lesser batches and, in addition, my personal hand mixer.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'll start by saying I really wanted to like this gadget.. I bought this for my wife who was really keen to use it for peeling and spiralling apples for making Apple Pie. She had a few issues getting it working properly and it seem to peel ok for the first 3/4 of the apple - but the last 1/4 didnt peel properly and just snapped off without peeling properly. Worked ok for the middle section of the apple but wasted a fair amount. I guess its useful for doing large quantities but with all the fiddling around it may not really save much time compared to just using the knife. I tried it too and found similar issues. Maybe it works better with other vegetables or fruit, but its pretty expensive for the value we've seen so far. Build quality, the selection of different blades etc and the case are all great, just haven't been able to justify the value against the price yet.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased this attachment and must say that I'm really happy with it. I made sweet potato (instead of pasta) and chicken lasagne with the sheet cutter and apple crumble with the spirilizer. Makes life so much easier.
