Just to clear some things up with some reviews I have read on this product (all colors have different reviews). I've heard people say that the audio cuts off after it goes to sleep, I have listened to over 20 songs with it in sleep mode and have yet to have the audio cut off. Now for my review. I have only had this product for about 4 hours, didn't think I would like it after coming from the 5th generation iPod Nano, but I really enjoy it. My 5th gen broke and could no longer be used and was out of warranty. I mainly use my iPods for when I go on jogs so I can listen to my music and pod casts. One down fall is that the screen is pretty small and I have pretty big hands, however, I'm getting really used to it and the screen size is user friendly once you get used to it. Being able to re-arrange the icons in the orders that you use most is really neat. The iPod did not come with the new update out of the box so I did have to update it through iTunes which isn't a big deal since you have to sync the iPod anyways. The new update allows you to have large icons where there is one icon per page and it takes up that whole page, or you can keep it at the original screen at 1-4 icons per page. Personally I like having 4 per page, it's more helpful in my opinion that way, unless you have poor eye sight. Audio quality is excellent, I've had mp3 players that I would have to turn the volume almost all the way up to make anything out, that is not the case with this product. I fully charged my iPod once it was done syncing and have played multiple songs so far and have barely dented the battery life, I will be putting it through a full test tonight on my jog and over the next couple of days. Also, Walmart has a product that plugs into a DC outlet in a car that has 2 USB2 ports, I bought this so I can listen to my music in my car without draining my battery, and it charges just fine that way. I'm thinking about buying the slap band for the nano (which is sold on walmart.com). Resolution on this thing is really good for it's small size, rather impressed me as I do have some of my pictures loaded on as well. I would highly recommend anyone to at least look at this product if you are interested in a new mp3 player. If you are unsure, go to an Apple store and try one they have on display, I think most would be pleasantly surprised. I disagree with all the bad reports I have read as I have had no problems thus far, however I would not tell anyone to ignore them as they did help me in deciding on what to get (even though I bought it anyways).
I love this little thing! It sounds great, is easy to use, and has lots of storage space for my music. The size is perfect....small enough that I don't know it's there when I'm exercising, but big enough to use the touchscreen without difficulty. The clip is great, too. I just clip the nano on my shorts before a run, and it stays put. No more worries about it falling off or moving around while I'm exercising. I also like the pedometer feature and that it tracks all of my workouts, so I can see how I'm doing from day to day. Highly recommended!
I have an iPod shuffle and kept running out of space so it was time to upgrade. I read ALOT of reviews on this product before (9 months later) making the purchase. I wanted to, especially, pay attention to some of the negative or not so nice reviews so that I could go in with eyes wide open but I took advantage of reading the positive reviews as well. I finally broke down and decided to purchase this product with the mindset that I would hold on (tightly) to the receipt and return it at the first sign of trouble. I am (very) pleased to say that I NEVER experienced any of the negative things that some of the other buyers experienced. I truly feel that I got what I paid for. I knew that it didn't have a camera (or some of the other things that the older version of the Nano had) so I didn't set my expectations on those things. My battery doesn't die quickly because I turn it off properly. My headphones work perfectly... sometimes too well. While I haven't thrown the receipt away yet, I will. I am very pleased with the product and, for the purpose that I need it for, it works incredibly well. I have had NO ISSUES. Good luck if you decide to buy it. And, the Walmart price (brand new... not refurbished) cannot be beat... and trust me... after nine months of research, I tried.
This is such a great ipod. It really has everything I need for music. I also love that it has an FM tuner and pedometer. It's great that it's small and can hook onto things. I just bought a silicone case for it and some marshmallow ear buds and it's perfect. It's really great for running or doing outdoor activities because it's so small and lightweight. The clip on the back is very well made and hangs on very good and tight. This is a great product for anyone looking for a good high quality music player and is not interested in watching movies or looking at pictures.
I owned an Ipod when they first came out and mine broke a day after the warranty expired. I had, had quite a few problems with it in the year I owned it and was never buying Apple again... so 7 or so years later, here I am owning a 16 gig nano. I REALLY needed an MP3 player to keep me going on the treadmill. I liked the idea of something that I could just clip on my shirt and not have to worry about it. This player has exceeded my expectations. The sound quality is great, it's easy to use, and it even has a pedometer on it. I did have to call Apple the day I got mine because ITunes was not recognizing the player. I had to download ITunes through Internet Explorer to my desktop and right click and run it as an administrator for Windows 7 and I haven't had a problem since in 3 weeks. I am loving this product!
