Conair Ionic Cord-Keeper 169P - Hairdryer

This is the third time buying this product. The dryer either dies or the cord rewind fails OR both! This latest purchase the cord rewind failed out of the box. The only reason I continue to guy it is because of the folding handle. I have very limited space in my apartment. Please improve the product - I am willing willing to pay more for a better product.

The retractable cord feature has never worked properly since the day I first used it. Although the cord was tightly in when first received, it has never fully retracted since then. The fold out handle is so tough to unfold that it feels like the flimsy plastic housing is about to break everytime I do so. This model doesn't come with a concentrator nozzle, yet, the heat apparatus is as close to the opening as it was on my old Conair hair dryer. The heat opening is just slightly smaller than the Conair dryer that I replaced so, unfortunately, I am not able to reuse the old concentrator nozzle on this new machine. Instead I have to hold it far from my hair so as to be sure not to burn...increasing my dry time substantially. I gave the product 3 stars because the cord does partially retract, the handle does fold, and it is compact...all as advertised. You get what you pay for at a discount price! I would not purchase this product again and I would not recommend it to friends or family.

I replaced the same model I had had for years and years.

After reading the instructions, I held onto the cord when recoiling. The cord didn't even go halfway back into the dryer !!! It took several times of pushing the button for it to recoil, all the way back in !!! You really have to be careful, or it will pinch your fingers as you close the handle also .

I bought this Conair Cord Keeper about a month ago. The cord never fully wraps up in the cord keeper. I called Conair at the 10 day mark and they said they would replace it if I paid to have it shipped the them. I am very dissatisfied. This is my second one and I will not buy another one because of this situation.
