Straight Talk Samsung Galaxy Proclaim S7

Bought 2 of these phones. One for myself and one for my husband. My phone has worked great from the beginning, but not my husbands. Worked well the first day. But on the second day, he received an incoming call and the person on the other end could not hear him, and his ear-piece was squealing terrible. So I tried to call him off my phone and it sounded awful. We turned the phone off - took out the battery and tried it again. It worked fine. It happened again on the 3rd day. Since then, everything has worked fine. It was also a pain in the butt to transfer our # from Verizon to strait talk...!! It is saving us about $40.00 a month though. I guess you get the bad with the good.

We live it what I call the "black hole". I can see cell towers from where I live , but our cell reception has always been little to none inside our home. When we moved in, we had AT&T and got NO reception. So after paying to break our contract with AT&T, we switched to Verizon. Their service was Ok, but not great. I still couldn't walk through my house and have a conversation. We decided to try Straight Talk because 1)why would you not want to save that kind of money and 2) it couldn't be any worse that what we were paying and arm and a leg for now. I have been on ST now for only 2 weeks, which I know is not a long time, but am very pleased with it....give me a few more weeks and i might even say love it. We made sure to get a phone that worked on the Verizon network and I chose to go with the refurbished phone so that if it didn't work I was only out $10 for a phone.( Walmart's website said this phone would not work in our area but after checking ST's website I found out it did.) When the phone arrived it was in like new condition. If it hadn't said "refurbished" I would never have known the difference. It works as well as any I have ever had that were new.The phone itself was very easy to use and get used to. I still have some trouble with the keyboard but what's new... Auto correct and I have never been friends:) The camera takes good pictures and the screen is clear. Everyone I have talked to said they could hear me clear as a bell. And best of all, miracle of all miracles, I am able to walk through my house and have a conversation. This phone gets better reception that my husband's iPhone( that he still carries with Verizon for now). It may all fall to pieces tomorrow but for now I am more than happy with this phone and ST.

This is my first android phone, and it is wonderful for a beginner. My only problem with this phone is the batter life is like 6 hours (and that is w/o much use at all). I thought I had a bad battery, but once replaced, the other is just the same--not much life. Luckily I don't use it much, and it is easy to learn. I would recommend turning off all running applications frequently, as it helps to conserve the battery life.

I love this phone - Most phones out there have virtual no internal memory but not this phone PROS: comes with 2 Gig micro card it has 2 Gigs of internal memory - great for apps and games minimal preloaded applications - does not eat up memory comes with good task manager and all the normal apps you might want on a phone - they actually make sense and work :) CONS: Some of the newer games aren't supported - older operating system (2.3 gingerbread) the camera is a lower resolution and slow to capture, with no flash - but it still takes decent pics short battery life - as with most smart phones There are better phone out there but for the price, this is the best straight talk phone you are going to find out there. I would definitely get another or recommend to a friend.

It's basically a free smart phone. Unbeatable.... Great fit, form and function. This is the second one of 3 that I have bought. Thr 1st was from amazon and it was defective, the screen was not installed correctly. and the batterl life was terrible. I started with a full charge and it needed charging by lunchtime! I tried exchanging it thru Straighttalk, but their customer support is terrible,...they wanted me to for a shipping label, send mine in and wait for them to send me a replacement of a Centura instead. I didn't want that phone,...this one is better! So, after 2-3 hours a day for 2 days on the phone with them, I gave up. I ordered one from Walmart,com. I received it in 2 days, it works perfectly, the vattery last all day,and it only cost a couple dollars more than just the airtime card that comes with it. It is a CDMA Smartphone that works on Verizon Which is the only dependable network where I live. I did root mine with an app called framaroot i found on youtube, with root access I was able to remove pre-loaded bloatware that comes on it and Im able to use the phone to it's true potential.and the battery last even longer now. I am very happy with this phone. I'm happy with Walmart.com. I think I'm going to buy another one just as a backup, it's cheaper to get the new phone than to buy a warranty plan in case I break this one. Can't go wrong since it only cost me 4$. and the airtime card. You should not miss this deal,...I recommend buying 2 of them at this price and if something happens to it, just forget calling S/T for help, throw it away, keep the battery, charger, and sd card and toss the phone. You can stop researching now....and get one on the way....al it cost you is $4, how could you go wrong? Rooting it voids the warranty, but I don't care, i tried the warranty and it's a waste of time. I'm not suggesting you do it, but I'm not sorry I did. It was very well good enough out of the box, I just like to be able to do anything I want with it, customize, and have full control over it.
