So I bought two of these heaters for my one bedroom apartment which is typically pretty cold. The heater is fine in small spaces like a bathroom or under your desk at work but any medium open spaces (hallway, bedroom, or living room) will not be heated quickly or at all by this alone. It doesn't heat the living room at all and you have to stand right in front to feel warm. BUT I have been turning it on before I go to bed at night and setting it on my nightstand and within a few hours I am warm enough to sleep comfortably in shorts and a tank whereas before, I would have to use several blankets and long PJs. It's a great value for the $20 or so that I paid for it but I would go with something bigger for a space any larger than 5 x 8 ft. ALSO, I live in a vintage apartment and the heater takes up a ton of energy! Be careful to not have too many other appliances going (I had my ceramic heater, my flat iron and 2 lights on) or the breaker might trip.

we bought this for our girls' room. (It is in the basement with no insulation). It stays about 20 colder in there than everywhere else. once we had this in there my 2 year old woke up because it was too hot. we thought we would have to turn it way up to make any difference (considering the size of the machine). This thing works great. now when my girls' wake up in the morning their hands are no longer icicles.

Ok so I thought I was going to find me something that would just blow hard and hot hot air and heat up the living room of my 840sqft apt (i suppose, like a furnace). I was wrong. But its not the little thing's fault. What it is good for is a closed room. Let it run a few minutes and it will take the nasty cold bite out and warm it up pretty nice. But as for heating up a living space area, nuh uh. Oh another thing, for you light sleepers, it is really loud and would be really hard to sleep with it on during the night. Especially after it has been off then when the thermostat makes it turn on, VVRRRRRR!!! it goes. So I recommend heating the room before you go to bed then turn it off. The heat also likes to blow in an upward direction and not straight forward. And you must be within 1 foot to feel hard blowing heat. It is good for a one person comfort. I have it on lite heat and right under my chair when working at my desk. That's feels nice right there. But if you have other family around, you're better off turning on the furnace. All in all, it was cheap and keeps myself warm in my own little space and that works for me.

THis heater has done just what I needed. It heats a 10x 20 room addition that I needed to heat. I can turn it on and it gets it warm within an hour. I like it cause you can turn it off anytime you want too. It seems to be a good value for the money also. I like it because it is small too and fits in easily.

I bought this heater as as an early x-mass present for my Uncle, he uses it to heat up his bathroom for when he takes a bath. He is very happy with the heater and its small size. I would recommend this heater even though I did not use it myself, my Uncle is very happy with it.
