I've had an IronMan Data Link since it came out in 1997 and upgraded to the USB version in 2004. I originally bought one for the programmable countdown and interval timers for exercise and mountain biking, but found that the appointment calendar and multiple alarms kept me on time for work too. I also appreciate that I can download .csv schedules for my local MLB & NFL teams. The only downside is the short battery life, but I USE the watch's features daily for the last 12 years and it's taken a licking and keeps on ticking.

I bought this watch for my son who has ADHD. He has utilized the many alarms in several ways. He is easily distracted and works for a computer co. He sets 1 alarm for every 10 min., so if someone has distracted him, he can refocus. Sets another to time himself on how much time it takes to fix a problem. Then uses it to improve time required to fix that particular problem. And so on. In just the few days he has had the watch, he has not only improved his focus, but also his timing for repair of the product, which his helped him meet the required daily goal for total # of expected repairs!, Also saved money on this watch, caught it on sale and was considerably cheaper than the one that was recommended on the ADHD site.

I bought the Ironman Datalink rather than some other watch because I have ADHD and desperately needed to organize myself to meet appointments, take medications, etc. I spent quite a bit of money altogether on PDAs, software, and this watch. The watch is the best investment by far. I have replaced the band and the battery, but not often. The daily items are easy to set up and simple to use or change. The countdown timer comes in handy, too. When I have moved, the watch was easy to re-set to a different time zone. I have a computer; the software and USB connection make it even better, but it would still be excellent by itself. Highly recommended!

This is my second datalink watch. I had the first version for years of rough wear. I am in the military, so it was used hard. I have enjoyed the usb connection on the newer version. I have had mine for 3 years now and love it. It is programmable much like a computer. You can download what is called wristapps. They can perform multiple applications. If you do an internet search you can see what I mean. This watch is gear essential.
