Boat Flagpole

My son bought his dad a flagpole for tailgating and the beach. It malfunctioned from the day he received it. Did not extend all the way. After a year, I decided to reach out to the company to see if anything could be done. Even though the one year warranty had just expired, Joy replaced it free of charge. We will definitely be ordering from this company again. Thank you very much Joy. I wish every company stood behind their products like you do.

I got this to put in my saddlebag because it extends to 6.5 ft from 19 in. It's made for a miniature 1x2 flags but works for a 3x5, kind of... Don't think about using this on a windy day. You might be able to use it in a parade, but don't go over 15 mph. This thing is not strong at all. It works excellent for flag-waving by hand and where space is limited to transport it. I think I'll get a small flag, or it won't last long.

This pole is used in flag lines to honor our fallen veterans and first responders. It is quick and easy to extend to full length. You do need to remember to give each extension a twist to secure it in place. Overall this is a great product for its expected use. When collapsed, it fits nicely in a saddlebag.

I've seen some people in comments saying that there is a gap in the flag that it doesn't fly taught. I solvedthis issue with a small zip tie installed just below the top ring. Now the flag is perfectly tight. And you can still collapse the flagpole almost all the way which I'm fine with.

The pole does collapse down nicely, but when fully extended, not all the sections lock. There is one on mine that refuses to lock no matter how it is manipulated. Because there is no firm lock, you just have to turn the section to 'set' it, some of the other sections come unlocked pretty easily under stress or tension (which you will have, with a waving flag that has any weight at all). It is ok if you have something very very lightweight to hang from it, or you are ok with not extending all of the sections. If you need anything more serious, steer clear.
