Agri-Fab 185 lb. Broadcast Tow Behind ATV/UTV Spreader Model #45-0329

This is by far the best spreader I have ever used or owned. I have a large yard, 4 plus acres and the larger capacity makes the work expeditiously faster than comparable models. The issue I always run into with all other models is the narrow wheel base, high center of gravity and the constant threat of tipping over creating a loss of product, and potentially burn spot in my yard. This product as eliminated all those concerns/ problems and can run thru $2k of product with ease. The only issues I have is when there is a drastic slope change, like a ditch crossing, the adjustment handel that operator gate hits the rack on the back of my ATV. This will not be an issue for the average user.

This spreader is the one I have been looking for. It is wide enough to stay stable on the side hill full and still spread evenly. I spread 1 ton of lime with it and 1000 lb of fertilizers and 150 lb of grass seed and it did a great job. it is waiting for next springs use.

Just purchased used one time so far to fertilize 3.5 acres seems like a good spreader time will tell. But as far as the directions goes !!!! sooooo terrible, its unbelievable to me that a company like Agri-FAB CAN NOT just simply print out easy step by step instructions. They tell you to go to a youtube video what a joke.

The tow bar is not long enough to fit under a standard side by side. I ended up bending the snot out out the flow control lever and had to bend it back straight several times. Due to the short tow arm, I ended up scratching the heck out of my tailgate. Also, the plastic box covering the gear disintegrated in the first hundred feet of use. Finally, after 30 minutes of trying to adjust the discharge gate, I could not get it to shut fully which meant product continuously fell through the opening and dropping product (Pelletized lime in my case) all over the ground when stopped...and the product flow adjusting lock fell off in the first 30 minutes. Pretty solidly built frame & tub but this product is not the greatest due to the several other aggravating issues.

Seems to be well constructed, so far appears to working as expected although I have only used it once on my 3 acre lot. I did have problems when assembling due to missing parts which the retailer (Farm & Fleet) corrected. Assembly instruction could have been much better, only pictures were in the instructions making it take more effort than necessary.
