Exaco 2 in 1 Compost Bucket

It's perfect for keeping on the countertop. The lid isn't meant to snap shut. It simply stays in place with the lid gasket and the design of the bucket. I was leery after reading reviews about the lid/odors but no problems with mine. The removable bucket is handy for quick trips to the outside compost. Plus, it keeps the outer bin neat and clean. I'm happy with my purchase. In fact, I ordered another one!

I wasn't sure what I needed in a kitchen scraps bucket, but this one works well, doesn't smalland the color is lovely. I lift out the inner pail to carry to the outside composter. The pail cleans off easily.

The very first time we used this bucket the inner seal to the lid came partly off. That led to a swarm of fruit flies hovering around the bucket and many many more once I opened the bucket. We could have just left the food on the counter and had the same results. I never write reviews but this was a horrible purchase.

Looks great! No blemishes at all which I appreciate. A little smaller than I was thinking but overall stylish on my counter and I don't notice a smell from the waste. It has a seal on the lid that suctions it closed tighter. I'm a little worried that is going to break down with use, but so far so good. Also because it's on my counter it reminds me to compost when I am cutting up veggies.

When I received this, one of the handles was detached. I sent an email to the company that included a photo of the bucket with one handle laying on the counter. The company answered me right away, then sent me a whole new bucket. The replacement bucket works great. Thank you.
