Jelly Roll Morton, who developed a jazz ensemble style that pushed the limits of early 1900's ragtime, is widely recognized - along with Monk and Ellington - as one of the most important composer/pianists in jazz history. Combining music from the Jazz Age with technology from the computer age, this recording (containing some of his most popular compositions) is a unique opportunity to hear Morton's groundbreaking music played by the composer himself.
