Mainstays Sand Dune Offset Umbrella

I purchased this product because I don't have a covered patio in my backyard and needed some shading for a party. I like this design because it offers the flexibility of moving it around the yard and tilting it to block wherever angle the sun is at. The shade it creates is large enough for a table of 6-8 but I used it in conjunction with our 10'x10' canopy, which was then able to shade 15-17 people comfortably. I purchased the base and filled it with water which is very heavy although there are two tiny wheels that aid in rolling around. My only complaint about the product is that is still does sway with the wind even if you tighten the single bolt on the vertical support column. Otherwise, it is a very good product of moderate quality which looks great in our yard. It has not seen rain yet, however, so that will be another test.

You can't go wrong with this offset umbrella. The price is amazing! I was expecting a little less quality because of the price and was so surprised. It was mostly put together already. We screwed it into the deck. I think you would almost have to because of the weight. You can adjust the umbrella easily - open & close it easily. It looks great and closes up beautifully. I was very impressed with this umbrella!!!!

The umbrella seems to be a great value. The only concern that I have is the crank that raises the umbrella up and down seems to get into a bind as its going up and down. No problems yet but seems like it could have issues.

I love this umbrella. I have it on my front patio. I also bought an outdoor carpet and it turns out that they match in color. Because I had to weight it down with cinder blocks, I topped them with paver stones and made a little table. I do get a little nervous on windy days because the flatness of it makes it tilt in the wind. All in all it's perfect and a good buy for the money.

I looked all over for an offset umbrella that was affordable and sturdy--this is a perfect umbrella! I did spray with a weatherproofer but it looks very expensive and is much better quality than I have gotten from a furniture store. Great price and product.
