BLACK+DECKER NSW18 18V NiCad Cordless Sweeper

Not REAL Strong, but it works well for the porch and sidewalk. Cleans the porch but will not blow leaves across the lawn.

This is the second one we purchased. Grandsons work with pop. Oldest was upset when the toy one wasn't blowing the leaves. At 4.7 pounds, I felt he could handle it, and he did. He was 3 at the time. If he could do it, an older adult can do it. Does the job. Going to get a new battery though for the second year. It isn't holding the charge as well. It does the job.

I've started to go cordless electric on my lawn care tools. It's worked out OK with the B&D weed eater, although even with two batteries, we sometimes have to wait for a charge. When my leaf blower died, I thought why not try it on this. I found this unit online and ordered it for pickup at Walmart. The Walmart transaction couldn't have gone smoother and I didn't even have to wait in line to get it. When I got home and opened it up, I almost laughed. Think about those toy lawnmowers and tools you buy for your kids (or had yourself when you were little). That's exactly how I felt when I held the assembled unit in my hand. I walked outside and tried it. The air output is about 1/4 that of the unit it replaced - I might actually sneeze harder on occasion. Even so, it's OK for light duty work and I think I got a little over 10 minutes out of it before the battery was exhausted. It should do the trick for clearing driveway and walkways after mowing, which is what I do most.

Just what I was looking for. This sweeper is light weight and very easy to handle. Does a great job and love that it has a battery instead of a cord or having to use gas.

Works good , use it for blowing grass off of driveway after trimming. Wish it had a faster charger for battery, I have extra batteries that I use from my 18 volt trimmer ,that helps a lot.
