PowerSmart 6 Tons 15 A Corded Electric Hydraulic Power Log Splitter, PS9006

Came without a manual. No link to online manual on Walmart site. Extended treasure hunt finally found one online. Oops - manual says to keep the box for returns, But, box barely adequate to get it here and beadboard packing pretty well pulverized. And, you have to cut the box to get it out anyway - it's heavy. Machine split wood ok for a bit, but then collapsed and quit as soon as the log hit the wedge. Searched online for manual. Found manual. Manual says, "open the bleed valve before splitting or you will permanently damage the hydraulic seals" OK, if PERMANENT DAMAGE, why wasn't that mentioned in one of the many decals, most covering "no duh" things like "don't put your fingers in the mechanism while operating" ? Probably breakage will sell more replacements that way? Search web for manual, find the semi-hidden bleed valve, open it and run the pusher back and forth a few times. Then, it resumed splitting with no problems. Seems undamaged.

Product stopped working after 1 month. Tried numerous times to contact by phone and email for 6 months and was never contacted. Tried to talk to Walmart and they told me I had to contact manufacturer. I can't get any help or support. Just in case some one reads this and wants to help me the order number is 2000104-21948172

I received the 1st log splitter and it was damaged and unusable. I returned it and ordered a 2nd one and when I opened the pkg and inspected the item; it was damaged. tried to contact the company via Email and phone. no reply on e mail; and I got to listen to one hour of music. this company is a fly by night Company!

The wood splitter worked great for 10 minutes. I checked the Hydraulic fluid level and opened the Vent as per operation manual. After it stopped working Checked hydraulic fluid level and it was good. Very disappointed. Will update once I find out how Walmart deals with this issue.

The log splitter works good. Only problem was that the shipping sucked. The container box had been dropped and damaged. This slightly damaged the log splitter. Also, the operators manual was missing. I had to call and get the company to send me an operators manual and a new bolt to replace the bolt that was broken during the shipment.
