Better Homes and Gardens Lake Merritt 3-Piece Outdoor Bistro Set

I knew I wanted this product when I first saw it in the store, and was elated when the price finally dropped. My biggest concern, in reading the reviews, was that it would be hard to assemble. However, I never experienced the assembly process because my grandmother suggested I ask Walmart if they assemble, and guess what, they do! The associate told me it would take about three days, and it was completed in one! It's sturdy and looks wonderful on my front porch. I do not regret my purchase at all, nor do I regret having Walmart assemble it for me.

While the set is very nice and sturdy once it is put together it was VERY difficult to get it put together. The box states 30 minutes with 2 people. I spent 45 minutes alone then my husband came home and we spent another hour and a half! We are both very handy people but for the life of us could not get the screw holes to line up nicely! You only need to screw the arms on the chairs and legs on the tables so it really should take only 30 minutes if it fit nicely together. Still I would recommend the set but be prepared for some frustration and improvision!

Everything looks great after assembly; however, it does take longer to assemble than stated. Do not need the lumbar pillows (using them on the wooden rockers that I have). Wish the seats of the chairs were a little longer. Other than that, chairs are comfortable and sturdy.

I normally wait until I have had a product for a period of time before posting a review. With that said, I purchased this set last year for my patio and I must say I have truly enjoyed this set. The set was packaged very well, therefore, I had not issues with breakage or scuffs. I assembled the set solo, which took me about 25-30 minutes with no issues. I used the set outdoors for the summer and when the winter set in I decided to move it indoors to a space in my bedroom. After a full year of use of the table and both chairs, the set is still in wonderful condition and ready for another year outdoors. The only thing I did not like was the color of the cushions, which are more rust color [darker than the photo] but that was just personal preference [I replaced the cushions to match my bedroom decor]. I have fully enjoyed this set and would recommend it to others. It is actually a bit less than last years cost, and I intend to buy another set this year.

So far this is a nice set. We have only had it for 4 days and will know more in future . We hope all will be good for long time. My only concern is I thought cushions were thicker than they are but will see in time. Very pretty set and lots of compliments.
