The unclear instructions were a minor annoyance. The heads of the screws provided were of soft metal and a major problem. The allen wrench heads could be easily stripped so that it would be impossible to install the screws, and difficult or impossible to get a damaged screw out. With experience and tools and drilling I avoided disaster and managed to finagle a solution. The design, carpentry and wood quality were very good.

I bought two of these benches for my patio. They were fairly easy to assemble, about 20 minutes each. The benches are VERY sturdy and reasonably comfortable. The only problem was one of the screw heads stripped out before it was seated due to being made out of soft metal. I am attempting to contact the manufacturer to get a replacement screw, but I got an answering machine, and am waiting for them to return my call. Overall, I am satisfied with my purchase, and would recommend this product to my friends.

This bench's warm color and and graceful style are a great fit anywhere. It's solidly built, seats two comfortably, and it was easy to assemble. All the holes lined up perfectly. Although I was disappointed by an imperfection in one piece of wood (which I may or may not fill with wood putty), the cost was a solid fifty percent less than a similar bench elsewhere (and there's no shipping cost). It's a lovely bench and a great vaue.

This a good quality bench and if you use a good outdoor wood glue on the wood pegs/ dowels when assembling it will make it very sturdy. It took about 30 min to glue & assemble. In my opinon the seat bottom could be a little deeper by about an inch and it would be more comfortable. But you can add some bench cushions (48 inch width) and it's pretty comfortable bench for sitting on with my wife under our big oak tree and sippin' ice tea in the summertime!

Love this bench. My parents have one and when visiting them recently I sat out on their patio on this bench often. Simple but sturdy and comfortable. BUT I since ordered one for myself and there was a problem. Assembly wasn't too hard, except that two of the long bolts were BAD. One had a solid head, no cut out to screw it in. The other was not properly threaded. Tried it in several of the nuts but would not go through any of them. Since there are no exras in the package, be prepared that you may need to supply some alternative hardware on your own or contact the manufacturer to get replacements. Sad, because the bench itself, once assembled, is such a great product.
