I was very excited about this kitchen faucet when it was first installed. I loved the hands free feature. It worked beautifully for about a year. Then, I found we were changing the batteries about every month like clock work. (Yes, I kept track.). Now that we have disconnected that feature, I love my faucet again. With the paddle handle, it is just as easy to use a wrist to turn it on and off if my hands are dirty and I don't get frustrated when preparing dinner or in the middle of clean up when it stops working because the batteries fail. Get the faucet but without the "hands free" feature.
I've had it for 6 years now and it works great. My main issues are that the hose is very rusty and the magnet desinegrated so the head no longer stays in place. It would be great if they used better material. I was also disspointed that the head is plastic if feels a little cheap but the touch conveneance makes it worth it.
I love my Delta faucet but much like cars with a lot of gadgets, there's just more to go wrong. I replaced my kitchen faucet of 20 years that was still working with this faucet in 2013. It broke last year and we had to replace the electronics parts. It just broke again less than a year later. Save yourself some trouble and go with a basic faucet.
Had this faucet installed when we had our house built about a year ago. Was installed by a professional plumber. First thing we noticed was that the light did not work as advertised. Just recently the faucet just stopped working, no water, no light. Assumed the batteries were out but did not understand why you could not manually operate the faucet using the handle. Replaced the batteries and it started working again, manually and touch but still no lights. Paid a light of money for a very POOR quality product. Very disappointed in Delta.
At first, the touch technology sounded like a great idea. Unfortunately, this faucet isn't reliable and durable. After about six months, the water stopped flowing properly (very low water pressure - literally a trickle). After a few minutes of leaving the water running or touching the faucet multiple times to shut it on and off- wasting water and time - the water sometimes starts to flow. I emailed delta, and these were the instructions they sent: 1. Remove the wand from the hose and check the flow. 2. If you still have low flow, remove the hose from the solenoid. 3. If you still have low flow, remove the solenoid and check the debris screen at the top. 4. If you still have low flow, keeping your solenoid off turn the faucet back on. didn't work. can't seem to figure out how to fix this, and now that the low flow/trickle is happening to my bathroom faucet, i've grown to hate this product.
