For the price, this is an awesome thermometer. Very simple to set up and to use. You hang the white unit outside and keep the black unit indoors. The indoor unit is very easy to read from across the room thanks to the large digits on the digital display. The only issue I had was realizing that when it (the white thermometer unit) is hung outside on the surface of the house, it is slightly inaccurate (readings higher than the actual ambient temperature). When I hung it freely from the eave so it wasn't touching any part of the house, it had dead-on accurate readings (when compared to Weather Channel local temperatures and other websites). It is currently in the shade all day long, but in a few months I will have to find another spot to hang it because the sun will start hitting it in the mornings and afternoons. This isn't really a problem with the thermometer, but rather with my house and lack of trees/shade. I'll figure something out. :) I'm totally hooked on this thermometer. I might build some kind of wooden structure to shade it and hang it from and put it in the back yard somewhere. That's how much I love this little thermometer.

Impossible to use screw hole to mount temp display. Largest screw to fit was about number four. Also, screw receptacle too shallow. Also, must remove display to change battery, so cannot use adhesive to mount. Other wise neat package and seemed to be pretty accurate. My use as to read temperature in motor home compartments from a remote location

I have used this product for years in my outdoor shed, to monitor temperature, since I have animals out there. It saves me some trips out there to be sure temperature is ok. My old one's screen began to fragment, so I ordered two more. The first I opened reads the outdoor (shed) temperature way off. Last night it showed the temp as 75 whereas it was only 66. I must return that one.

For $7 and change, a wireless outdoor thermometer that works well and doesn't charge an arm and a leg for unnecessary options. Replaced my old Acurite thermometer when the outdoor sensor was flooded by rain. The new thermometer with sensor was less expensive than a new sensor for the old thermometer.

Set the sensor piece on my porch and the monitor on my night stand, about 40 ft. away. For the first day it worked then it said that the batteries were dead. I changed the batteries in both units with new batteries and the indoor part worked but the sensor and the monitor did not connect anymore.
