Safety 1st Glow & Go Monitoring System 08023 - Baby monitoring system

I bought this monitor yesterday from the store and am digging the packaging out of the trash to return it today! All I heard all night was huge amounts of static. It was loud and I couldn't even hear my son over it. I bought it because our old one was wearing out but switched back to the old one in the middle of the night. I tried changing the channel on it and moving both the baby unit and the parent unit to different places and it didn't help the static at all. The temperature works and is a neat idea but is not worth the monitor being trash. The whole point is to be able to hear your baby and that is something this monitor won't do.

I'm here shopping for a new monitor because this didn't last a week. I'd return it but I stupidly threw away the packaging. In 7 days BOTH of the power inlets broke so we can't even use the AC adapter, and the battery life is terrible. The thermometer part never worked anyway, and there's non stop static. We tried to use this as a back up monitor because we have a Video monitor (which we love) but needed something a little more portable. I'm disappointed to say this product was a complete waste of money.

Was horrible. Everytime we moved in the room with the receiver it caused interference and had loud static noise. We returned it and got a different one.

I bought the Safety 1st Safe Glow Monitor late last year. Now it switches off in the middle of the night without warning. I can't help but wonder how many times my daughter has woken up crying and I didn't hear her because I was depending on this thing??? I tried to call Safety 1st to ask them about it and was asked to jump through hoops in order to get a replacement for this cheap monitor. You will be asked to fax your receipt along with your information. They verify it and then ask you to mail certain parts from the unit. Finally they will send you a check or voucher to replace it. NOT worth my time. I've already told them that I am going to buy another monitor, but it will NOT be a Safety 1st product.

I bought this because it was pretty cheap and had 2 receivers. I also like the temp. on the base; it gets hot and cold in our house easy. The fact that it was cheap should have been my first clue! The volume was never really all that loud but that did not bother me since I was able to hear when and what I needed to. However, now you can hardly hear a thing from my son's room on either receiver. We have had it too long to return it so now I am out the money and still have to purchase a new monitor! I just hope the new one I buy is much better!!
