Sure Sight Digital Color Video Monitor

My husband and I decided to get this monitor for our daughter when she was 2 or 3 months old and started rolling over in the crib. That was over 2 years ago and we're still using the same monitor everyday. We mounted it up almost at ceiling level so we can see the whole length of the crib. The picture is a little grainy, but you can see when her eyes are opened or closed even though the camera is far away from the crib. The sound is great also, when they cry or cough you can definitely hear it. My daughter came down with croup a few months back and I woke up feeling that something was wrong and I heard her coughing and gasping for air and immediately rushed into her room. This monitor set up as given us great peace of mind for the last few years, I hope it continues to do so in the future. We also had issues with the battery staying charged within the first year, even though we followed the directions before the first use. It's not a big deal, I just keep the charging cord next to my side of the bed and keep it on the charger at night. It stays charged for her 2 hour nap during the day was and the few hours that she's asleep before my husband and I go to bed, so it's perfect for us! I would gladly buy another, it's even cheaper now than it was when we got it.

This is a great video monitor for our baby's nursery for the price.

i ordered a much more expensive brand, and despite good ratings, it just did not work well. Sent it back. Loved this one--easy breezy!

I did read reviews on the poor battery quality before purchasing but assumed that others had not followed the instructions re: initial charge and caring for the battery correctly. Well, I have had the unit for 3 days and every single night have had to wake and plug the monitor into the mains as the charge does not hold for over 4 hours. I have contacted Summer Infant and I am hoping for a suitable and swift resolution which I will post here. The actual set up and unit itself is great and in all honesty if it could hold a charge I would love it. I can only assume that cheap batteries are used or my current unit is defective.

I keep my Grandson 3 days a week & needed a monitor for when he takes naps. I didn't feel like I needed a high priced monitor since I only use it a few hours a day, but wanted a monitor that I would be pleased with. This monitor works great and is a good value. I have had no issues with it. Screen is small but I can still see him well in his playyard.
