Overall I think the Iphone5 is a great buy, escpecually the no contract version with Straight talk wireless, it worked with out a sim right out of the box, but the grand thing is that I have the option to use it overseas on any of the networks that utilize the sim cards, this is a great deal, the only draw back I see is that I wish apple had created the iphone5 to be 4LTE instead of the 2g/3g that it is. other than that I love it, and the straight talk 45.00 unlimited everything 30 day beats all the others hands down.

Thank you Walmart for making a deal with apple and straight talk to bring the apple 5 i phone to people who like phones without contracts due to low credit scores because life happens to good people.

Very poor service from straighttalk!!!!!

I bought two of these phones. I use one with the Straighttalk - Verizon 3G system - (ready to use out of the box with phone plan) and the other I use a nanoSIM in the UNLOCKED SIM slot from Straighttalk - AT&T (had to cut the microSIM to nanoSIM for the SIM to work in the iPhone5) I have a friend who purchased one of these and uses a T-Mobile 4G SIM and gets full 4G with these phone. I tried my son's AT&T nanoSIM in this phone and it works at FULL LTE speeds in this phone. So, these phones are FULLY unlocked. (At least the SIM slot is for use with ANY GSM carrier# I used to be both a Verizon and AT&T contract customer and I will never go back #while things are the way they are with contracts with phone carriers#.. While it is not the Verizon LTE but Verizon 3g, it works just fine. The bad thing about Verizon though #even Straighttalk-Verizon# is that you can't talk on the phone while surfing the internet or use maps like having this mounted in the car / navigation while on the phone. I've used foreign SIMs in one of these phones #China Mobile and MTN and they come right up# Why did I buy these unlocked phones at WalMart vs. the Apple Store? Because the Apple Store sells unlocked iPhone5's with only the unlocked SIM slot. These phones have both unlocked GSM SIM slots for use with ANYONE'S GSM SIMs and the choice of using Straighttalk-Verizon 3G service. So there is a choice of using either or. I don't know if these phones can be activated with the actual Verizon network, but since these phones are FULLY unlocked in all other ways, I bet they could be. But I would not want to pay TWICE the price on Verizon for essentially the same service #3g instead of LTE# #I DON"T KNOW WHERE THE PREVIOUS RATER GOT THE IDEA THESE WERE TRACFONE ONLY THESE PHONES ARE UNLOCKED CRICKET PHONES FOR USE ON CRICKET CDMA - VERIZON) I would highly recommend. Especially if you want an iPhone5 with a dual system choice and do NOT want to pay $120 for similar service from Verizon or AT&T. Save yourself from a 2 year contract. Pay $45 a month or $495 a year instead of making a mistake which will cost you about $1400 more over a two year period and in AT&T's case a locked iPhone5.

I simply love my new iPhone 5. I also love the fact that I am not on a contract with this phone.
