I've used this product for years due to its taste and lower fat content. Many who have done reviews of this product don't understand that this product is far healthier than any of the other low-fat/low-calorie butter products. When you leave it out from refrigeration in the heat, it reduces to buttermilk; however, that's good. If you want butter to be left and never melt, then you are using the most unhealthy butter product. That's because those products that don't melt are made to stay solid due to a harmful chemical that is injected into the butter to keep it solid. The chemical is hydrogen gas. One property of hydrogen is that at high temperatures (outside the refrigerator), it stays solid like ice & there it never melts, but hydrogen gas changes the fat properties of butter into fat that our bodies can't break down because humans don't make the enzyme to do the job. During the digestive process, the hydrogenated butter doesn't leave one's body; it stays and turns into extra hard fat that settles in our artery linings, especially in our brains. Over time, this unhealthy butter that doesn't melt on your counter will reduce the space in your arteries that your blood needs to move through. When blood that carries oxygen to our cells can't get through, it makes us tired, sleepy, and out of breath and creates a high blood cholesterol score that our doctor will tell us to go on blood pressure, cholesterol, and blood thinner medicines. Within 15 years of eating butter that the label says have hydrogenated fat, one can develop heart disease, have a heart attack, a stroke or blocked arteries in one's legs called peripheral artery disease when the blood can't get to your feet, causing numbness and to a future amputation of one leg. If you a lucky to avoid all the above conditions due to eating butter with hydrogenated fat, your brain arteries will clog up and it will lead to a stroke or dementia. So the next time you want to complain that Land O Lakes light butter melts on the countertop, think again that you are too lazy to put it back in the frig bec the alternatives will lead to your death.

Did not like this very much at all, I prefer any other low-fat spread. Didn't taste similar to butter like the spreadable butter with canola oil. Better than dry bread, but will not be purchasing again.
If you want water to be the main ingredient in your buttery spread, this product is for you. ....Sadly, the "light" title is due to tge fact that it's predominantly water. With little taste, it is a disappointing product for Land'O Lakes.
This is the only real butter product with a fat & calorie profile similar to some of the spreads. However, it can't be found anywhere. They claim it's pandemic-related shortages, but when you look at the ingredient list, it's water, butter (a product that is still widely available everywhere), canola oil (again, available everywhere), and buttermilk (also available everywhere). What ingredients are in the light butter with canola oil that aren't also in the regular butter with canola oil? I'm finding it hard to believe it's an ingredient shortage. Super disappointing because I hate margarine, but for a few recipes, I really need a lighter butter product.
